"Infared lighting"? It's infra-red (i.e., below the red part of the color spectrum) -- sometimes spelled "infrared."

Nice to have ability to use the remote when needed. Still really like the D5200. A marvel of a camera.

Thank you JR. Got a new d5300 AND a Nikon remote. Went thru the book several times but?... and then I watched your video and 30 sec. later, cha ching! Perhaps Nikon should put you on the payroll.

Hi, quick question. If I set the camera to interval made would the remote release that? Like press the remote once then get say 9 shots, 3 seconds apart? 🤔

So do you have to be towards the front of the camera, will it not work if you are behind the camera?

I just got my camera.. I've messed with a Canon before (way long before)... and i remember that whenever i would change the settings while when seeing through the visor (ready to take the pic), I could see it change through the visor.. I've noticed that with the D5200 that doesn't happen unless i use the live screen to take the shots... But i don't feel comfortable using the screen.. Is there any settings so i can see it through the visor?

I use the SIRC remote control app (on Google Play) as I have the cell phone with me most of the time anyway.

If you're wondering why none of your photos sell. It's because you gave Google access to your media when installing and accepting that app.

ABCarlosE NO. You cant. Since you don't have a dedicated Video mode. The remote has just one shutter release button

+Shubham Krishna can you please tell me how many picture I can take with my nikon d5200 with a fully charged battery. thank you

Good video! I changed two settings on my D5200 and changed the battery. The remote is still not working. Looks like I bought a poorly made Yongnuo remote. IR remotes are generally poor! RF remotes are better but expensive. A cute toy but limited range and sensitive to bright sunny days. Range is 5M under the best indoor conditions.
