Nikon D810 disassembly and broken mount repair

When disassembling cameras with a built-in flash - remember , there is a high-voltage capacitor hiding inside.
It needs to be discharged as soon as possible so that it does not discharge on the main board, destroying the camera components.

was in Turkey and dropped my D810 with the lens in it, the lens jackhammered into the mirror box and the frame cracked. I have already replaced the body but now I am tempted to try to fix the old body. I am glad you put the video online. I might just sell it, but I dont know, it is good to have this video, thank you.

Great job. I had not enough courage to order the empty mirror box assembly. I have replaced whole unit with actuators and it was not such pain. Just few days ago my d810 had another fall but this time I’m gonna do it your way. Thanks a mill for sharing the video

Many thanks for the reply... wait...one could just find whole unit with actuators? Actually the only tricky part is to take out Nikon's 10 pin data connector, because there are many legs and location is pretty tight. Any desoldering material or tool will do the job. Or big melted bulb of solder that can heat up all the pins at once. Good luck. Wish you many great pictures.

@@All_Camera thanks, had miracle happened. Just as I wrote you the first message, in my local website I found d810 with dead screen for €250. Have it now up and going instead replacing the whole mirror box. The assembly with actuators was €178 on ebay. I can send you the link if you amy need one. It says the last one in the description.
