Just a little advise, when you at 3:20 - 3:35 and 7:10 - 7:19 will unscrew the retaining ring it'S better to only use the compass / lens spanner to loosen the retaining ring, and then use the rubber tool to unscrew the retaining ring, it's more safer for the lens element, but it's a good video.

Could you tell me which way the spacer goes in in the rear element? I took mine appart and cannot figure how the spacer goes back in

Took a look at the video, it seems it goes behind the diaphragm, but I don't remember all the details since I made the video long ago. Best

Hello, is it possible this lens came with different design ? I have the exact same one. At least from the outside design. But when I remove the front ring with the identification, there is no other ring below, the front lens just drop.

Hi, this video is about the more recent plastic version of the EL-Nikkor 50mm f/2.8 maybe yours is the older version in metal?
