Thank you! I have been struggling with going back and reviewing my settings as I learn my camera and how to use F-stop, ISO, etc. I now know I need to customize my I menu. Thank you Thank you! 🎉😮😊

I have always believe that photography should be based on what comes out of the camera as per your settings not what you could get in Photoshop and post production using a computer we’ve been taking photos before they were computers
@Eelgnotsa3 жыл бұрын
If you’re doing commercial photography cookbooks menus weddings portraits yeah raw so you could manipulate it but if you doing hobby photography trying to hone your skills what about it with raw do you live the way you shut it out of the camera so you could better improve your settings

I agree and disagree. There have been plenty of times I have been in an outdoor setting where the lens I have with me just won't capture perfect photos because it's a gloomy day. If I had endless cash I would have 2.8 or better zoom, but there are times where I know my exposure just ain't gonna cut it, so I make sure I leave my Iso at a reasonable number to avoid noise, and shooting RAW allows me to fix it post. I don't have a problem using editing tools on photos as long as the photo itself is a decent photo. I rarely adjust colors except vibrance and maybe a touch of saturation when needed. But I do apply a small bit of sharpening and adjust exposure, contrast, and some other settings as well. We all choose to do what we can and what we feel shows our best work. Editing can definitely be a part of that.

Sorry I wasn't clear on what I agree with. You should always attempt the best photo you can with the equipment you have. Editing is not a substitution for knowing your camera and what it can accomplish

When taking selfies always the person closer to the camera gets in focus and the others are blurry. Is there a setting to change to get al the persons infocus? Thank you.

"F8 is great" This is the golden rule haha. Might need an extra light to get your camera to that setting tho.
@klaustzoca27 күн бұрын
@HenrysCameras F8? What is that?
@HenrysCameras27 күн бұрын
@@klaustzoca It's the setting on your lens but can be found within your camera. An F stop is the setting that says F4, F5.6, F8 and so on. The larger the number the more that is in focus. Check out Henrys.com/events to see what workshops are happening at a store near you!

This is the first time I've watched one of your video's and it was very informative and well thought out. One thing you should have mentioned is when purchasing the Z50 a person should get both kit lenses. When I bought mine I purchased just the 16-50 and later I decided to buy the 50-250 and it will cost another $200 additional in what Nikon charges for the lens when put in a kit. The second issue since Nikon is putting the 50-250 lens in the kits its hard to find the lens being sold separately in the stores. Even though I've had my Z50 for almost a year it has sat most of the time because its not working out for me. Most likely I'm going to sell it and stick with my DSLRs. Again a great video,!! Best wishes Duane

Good overview. I like to shoot photos and then do some video too. I see there is a switch to go between stills and video but can you save some video settings in the custom User Modes 1 and 2?
@HenrysCameras3 жыл бұрын
I don't recall being able to do that but it may be possible at this time.

Great video with lots of helpful tips / Thanks. Quick question, when shooting in video mode is there any way to have the Z50 not cut off at 30 minutes? any way? And when using as an alternate camera source for online presentations it times out and shuts off even though I have energy savings off. Thanks

Why is it all of a sudden that shooting Rall is so acceptable which means you could manipulate the photo turn it into something that it wasn’t when you made mistakes taking the photo show me a bit of pushed to shoot JPEG only so you can learn how to expose your pictures properly without Photoshop in post
@HenrysCameras3 жыл бұрын
There's a place for both and while it may not be for everyone, shooting RAW is a great way to have more latitude with your images.
@stanleyc29783 жыл бұрын
Shooting raw has always been preferable for professionals. Even with jpegs, you'd be doing some post editing. With raw, you have a lot more range.

Surprisingly poor voice audio on this video: boomy and too much echo - which is suprising coming from a retailer. I'd also recommend removing the background music - something that I think makes it harder to concentrate on the information being given. Otherwise, a good quick introduction.
