A great look for the back door. My thought for the end of the ropes would be to capture the ends in a piece of copper tubing with a copper nail fastening it to the door. Also fastening the rest of the rope with copper nails. I for one love the front door as it is,I wouldn't change it. You amaze me with the results you achieve using the simples of tools. Don't stop man.

Your visions and artistry is a gift Nik. How you made those pieces interact was so cool, never seen anything built like it before. Thanks for sharing your cabin build journey, and I hope you and your family will be able to enjoy the structure you’ve created for generations my friend! 🙂

Yeah The Outsider back door is a lot of work. It takes Mr. Outsider a month or two to dry it but it's worth it at the end. Waiting for Shawn James on his front door when he change it as he states that it is a temporary door.

You could maybe use silicone like the Outsider and incorporate your stones/pebbles into the silicone, even adding some colour into the silicone. Keep up the good work I really enjoy watching your journey.

Loved the inside design of the door! The outside looks amazing as well. I don't have a problem with the black background because it ties in (matches) the black hinges and door knob. So, bottom line, it really is up to you. Keep up the great work and, looking forward to your next video. And, don't worry about losing viewers. I imagine you'll have us until you decide to stop making them. Peace.

Stained glass is a nice touch... Glad you thought of it. 😜 It looks like that side is a northern view. Hopefully the windows will get a glimpse of the sun, to show the colours reflecting in the room... The outside of the door, with the black swirls, is gorgeous. The inside of the door's rope, with the green threading, is an improvement, though I see what you mean... Stones? Hmm What if the rope was darker... even black... Love watching you and your creativity, in your craft. You have a divine gift... Glad you've resurfaced.

A tree grows from a seed. That seed has the “design” inside but it grows as needed by its environment. Your work on the cabin, the stairs and this door in particular mimics this natural process where in your mind is the seed but even you can’t tell how exactly your branches will grow. But always a work of beauty.

Epoxying small black rounded river stone or small tiles is a nice personal touch to the outside of the door.👉👉Heres an Idea 💡💡Varnishing or epoxying the rope in place would seal up any gapes and make it 1 solid panel. Also by adding in a color to the mix. Like a light red would make it pop.🤔👍👍

so much i loved about this video. the door, of course. the rope blew my mind! i love the rope. the audio towards the end where it sounded like cooking or doing dishes in the background, omg, that was so incredible. and finally, think it was the first time i saw your hands up close, the detail in the string tightening the ends of the rope, so exquisite. everything, i love your content. magnificent kids growing! your wife is beautiful, her message to you, yes you are amazing! content content content 100% love.

Nice the way each of the family picked a window shape and alignment, You could use some 2 part epoxy and pour over the ropes (w/the door laid flat). It would soak in and a hair dryer/heat gun would help it soak into the rope better. Could also add colorant to it before pouring onto rope. Many colors out there. Would dry solid and water proof. Door would be stronger also. Glad you're back and well. Have watched every episode of yours!

I would of used short brass tubing to cap the rope ends. That would cover the cut ends of the rope. There is a simple macrame knot that is for wrapping ends of rope. You Tube does have a how to video showing you how to do it. Very simple ! The door is a work of art, Nik. I think since it is a door to a sauna and bathroom that painting the outside grooves a nice blue would look like small streams of water. OR maybe the right sized green bendable branches in the gaps ? I like how you patterned the walls inside that area as well. As always I enjoy your cat "helping" you get things done.

The inside of that door is provably the best piece of art you did so far. I absolutely love it. I would suggest tying the rope ends with some sort of wire together, perhaps that would give the look a slight twist. I like the idea of glueing rocks on the outside, preferably black pebbles. But i'm sure however you and your family decides, it will be just perfect. That cat really likes getting in your way :D very cute
