@@MrKEMills arguably one of the worst events in our time in the Middle East the “Black Hawk Down” incident the CO at the time staked the operation on retrieving even the bodies of every marine that were downed and confirmed KIA’s at the detriment of the the rescue teams. We do not leave men behind if at all possible even when we probably should. Fun Fact a military negotiator also threatened to divert significant military assets to eliminate the militias in the surrounding area if they did not free several hostages that higher ranking terrorist grabbed before the mob could get to them. And in their wisdom they actually listened. And I can’t say I like the ignorance in this comment section.

I will say, while this is hilarious, one of my favorite moments from this show is when they’re in Bolivia, I think, and they’re crossing an incredibly dangerous one-lane road on a steep cliff, while Jeremy went ahead of them in jest, as it was getting towards nightfall, James’s car was having trouble, and Hammond assured James he wouldn’t leave him. Very strong display of their friendship.

There was also one incident in the Andes and the altitude paralysed the engines via the lack of oxygen. Hammond's car couldn't get into third or upwards and the others slowed down in order to stay together. That was pretty moving in a way.
