This is great. I'm more of an intermediate now, but will definitely be following, especially if you do videos about drills and practice routines. Keep up the good work.

So the top of the skates shouldn't be tightened to a max so i can move my ankles forward yeah ?
@NikZvi2 жыл бұрын
Exactly. Overtightening of the skates is one of the newbies mistakes. It should be tight but comfortable with enough flexibility.
@lisagonzalez29023 жыл бұрын
I am now learning to have a proper stance by bending my knees forward, as shown. However, my question is more specific: should I also PUSH my pelvis inside? I feel odd by doing so and I don't know if it's part of the stance.
@NikZvi3 жыл бұрын
Well, I didn't really get what your mean by pushing pelvis inside, but I have to say that if your knees are well bent (the knees are over the toes) the position of your pelvis is not so crucial, you can move it to the front or to the back without loosing the control.

ive recently started skating for the first time in years but i cant skate for longer than a few minutes because the bottoms of my feet and back cramp.do you know how i cant help this
@NikZvi Жыл бұрын
1. Good warm-up. 2. Proper technique. 3. Practice. Also the bottom of a foot could hurt because you're tightening your straps and laces too much. However, if you feel that your feet or back hurts unnaturally ( it's not the muscle pain but something different) then maybe you should ask a doctor. Rarely but it happens that skating is just not for you because of some health problems.

Hai nik. Im new i wanna ask if u have to Bend ur knee the whole time u skate. My knees get tired
@NikZvi4 жыл бұрын
Hi. Yes it's preferable. You can give a small break on smooth straight lines , but when you're skating actively your knees should be always bend.
