It's an awful shame Oldman didn't direct any other films. It's an incredible film.

So few people have seen Nil by mouth. the acting and directing style make every scene uncomfortable to watch. many times genuinely forget its a film. criminally underrated masterclass in acting.

Great vid mate, this is one of my favourite films. Great but absolutely shocking scenes

35:16 You're absolutely right, that *is* a record. The c-word is in this film 82 times, more than any other film in history.

Best thing this film taught me is to be kinder to the people I meet. You never know how much that can mean especially when they are suffering from trauma. Make right now the time to improve this aspect of your life

The best thing about rewatching this, is watching it with you. Rey Winston is brilliant in, Sexy Beast (2000). Another one I'd love to rewatch with you!

Great reaction. This film is like being a fly on the wall. The acting is so good. By the way, have you seen Withnail and I? Really good film that I recommend for you to react to.

Thank you mate. Withnail and I literally got added to the list a few days ago. Coming soon

Kathy Burke, rightfully won a Palme dOr for her performance. Of course, Winstone became a parody of himself after this film but his performance here was incredible. I remember many times as a child to put my arms down, otherwise.

Watched once when it first came out. Never needed to watch again. We've all met people like that. And had the fear of being in their presence.

ive watched this film many times and watched this reaction twice, and this is the first time ive noticed this... whats Billy doing at 22:45? looks like hes checking the radiator to see if its hot or cold, to see if its been left on whilst Val nipped to the shop, to see how much time he has.

Yes!! No one has reached to this classic film so let me say nice one mate, although it clearly was an ordeal to watch. Another gritty and gard to watch film (with Ray Winstone) is 'Ladybird, Ladybird' (1994). Have you seen that? Its by ken loach and stars Crissy Rock. it is outstanding but also very difficult to watch at times.

If you want to watch an incredible film, check out an old BBC Arena film called The Grass Arena with Mark Rylance and Pete Postlethwaite. Like Nil By Mouth it is criminally neglected!! A true story about a homeless guy who got saved by chess.

That was brutal. Think I remember my dad watching this years ago, when I was about 11 or 12. I remember him telling me what nil by mouth meant. You watched neds? Interested to see what your reaction to that woyld be like

That was canny good, I just watched it for breakfast. I remember big Mo and also the granny was mo butcher, Frank butcher's mam in eastenders . You should watch Get Carter from 1971 set in my part of the world with Michael Caine. If you want something more modern try kidulthood or ill manors. Like left bud.

One of the worst movies ever made. Notice they never asked Gary Oldman to direct another film.
@rnw27396 ай бұрын
Are you sure? Nobody 'asked' Oldman to direct this film, it was his own decision and project.

Are you having a laugh? This was perfect in every way as it was supposed to be! Maybe you have lived too much of a sheltered life to realise that this is the reality for a lot of people. This film was written, directed and acted as true as you could get. I grew up in that sort of environment and every character felt real.
