No cuts is fine, I want to see how you handle everything from start to finish, it's thrilling to watch! I noticed drones go for the most damaged building first when they're set to prioritize repairs, and imo they're wasting a lot of time because of that so I wonder if it wouldn't be best to keep priorities to default and help them by just walking into your defense line between attacks. Though you're very close to getting the battlefield analysis base so it won't matter after that point!

There's a setting that lets you auto-pick up drops. In combat mode click the settings button above your HP bar and then tag the item types with "auto" via mouse click. You can toggle them between enabled/ignored/auto.

I Made this comment half way, so this can actually be ignored :) I could delete it, but maybe someone else could use it. You are constantly hand-crafting. I like it. A little tip, use the dark fog material. It will speed up your hand-crafting. Also, just wondering. Why wouldn't you hand craft some blue science and get the graphene and build some power station instead of all the wind mills. I usually instantly go for power stations and graphene. I personally dislike the wind power in the game :) Now you are doing it (I was to early with my comment.... sorry ;)), what I always do from the start is have a station for circuits boards, magnetic coils and gears. And when unlocked one factory for electric motors. Hand feed them via a box or connect a belt. Which ever you like most / is possible. I think that would help you out great in this epic battle. This is just to speed up hand-crafting a bit more :P No matter, enjoying the playthrough! ;)

Still playing along. I really like the "rough cut" as you are calling it, because that allows me (and probably others) to build things identical. - Works great so far. - I managed to de-synchronise those two attack by kiting one unit away form the main bulk an keeping i alive a little longer thus delaying one of those attack waves, so that I now have to deal with only one at a time.

They only attack from the side closest to your base. They can strafe towards the undefended side while attacking the turrets, but they will stay in range of the turrets.

For anyone else who is giving this type of run a try, do yourself a favor and stockpile some combustible units early. You can throw them very far and they deal devastating damage to ground units with splash damage. I am fairly early into my run with waves of 140ish coming regularly, and I blow up most of the ground units before they ever even reach my turret barricade, and the air units are picked off by the turrets when they get close enough. Usually takes about 10-15 to blow up almost all of the ground units, but considering how easily they are made, you can toss them out like explosive candy.

Looks like the enemies are going to the sides because the turrets create a wall. If there was an opening in the middle, they might be more inclined to go there instead.

you can set all the drops to Auto, then you dont have to manually grab stuff from the ground. edit. not sure what the range is, so maybe not useful. tested. auto pickup range is 39 tiles, map view manual pick up is 55

Dark Fog is behaving differently in my playthrough. I'm using the same seed map and same (max) difficulty, but the fog also goes for my iron production every time. Your fog mostly focuses on the front for some reason and seldom goes for the back. I had to make more guns to protect that section better for harvesting Iron. Good thing is I already had a second row of turrets, but I have to say that my fog seems to be able to get more hits in or the waves are larger and possibly faster. I actually lost once because I didn't have a second row (this was in the first video) - so it seems my fog is by a notch or two more difficult than yours for some reason. Anyway, I'm holding on, and managed to research that battle station which also does repairs, but need to research microcrystalline components so I can actually construct it and help me better defend my position. I'm at 3 rows of turrets right now, and the waves are more intense... though I also managed to build more wind turbines, so its possible because I have more power at my disposal (at least right now), the Dark Fog is stronger in proportion.. EDIT: I just got destroyed. Completely and utterly (entire base decimated). I even managed to build a repair station, research personal energy shield and enhanced kinetic weapon damage, but the wave the dark fog launched was MASSIVE. Even with 3 rows of turrets and all the research I did, I just couldn't survive. I guess the devs messed with the difficulty or something because I'm telling you, my Dark Fog is behaving very differently to yours (and I even have less turbines - meaning, I'm producing less power, but am not lacking in power). For me, the Dark fog is just way too difficult (unlike in yours). My incoming waves are larger, they destroy faster, and I get overwhelmed.

When you will defeat the Dark Fog, do not remove defence units. Fog will return until you destroy all Fog stations in your star cluster. i removed it and after a short while surprise, they are back.

I think if you middle click on an item, it will "lock" that inventory spot with that item. I'm not 100% sure but if you middle click on an empty spot, it prompts you to select an item.

That would explain why my dark fog was much more destructive than Nilaus'. I used same seed map, same max settings, I even managed to create more turrets earlier and repair station, research personal shield and enhanced kinetic damage, but I got overwhelmed around the same time he finished the second video and was completely destroyed. I'd say they made the fog much more difficult to deal with... because mine was a notch or several more destructive, bigger/aggressive than Nilaus'
