The problem with AOE based teams is that Neuvillette overshadows them all. Especially versus Nilou teams, as both are hydro but Neuvillette teams have no issues against other elemental shields as he doesn’t have any teammate limitations.

the diference is that you can still use kafka as a normal dps and slot her in other teams without afecting her style, while nilou is uterly useless withouth bloom, they gave her way too low multipliers to do damage and a very restrictive condition in order for her blooms to work

Plus what kind of damage people expect from her? She allow & buff the reaction itself. I have never seen a dummy trying hard to make her do more personal damage when the reaction itself is already strong. People need to learn that this is how she works and her team is literally one of the fastest to clear abyss

i love her dance-theme attacks. so sophisticated and beautiful. i also love her burst animation where you splashes a lotus-shaped water wave. So magnificent. However, 😭 I still want a slim blue- or white-colored signature sword for her. i crafted the fontaine sword and it looked so good on her. although i know it’s not her best weapon. So then now i got her signature sword Key of Khaj Nisut. It’s a powerful sword for her and it works 100% with her kit. but honestly, it looks awkward on her because it’s brown and it’s thick and looks heavy on Nilou. it’s a jarring design combination. I wish genshin would introduce weapon skins. Nilou deserves a signature sword that really matches her dainty design aesthetics.

2:33 I somewhat disagree with this. Nahida makes the team very comfy but she's not absolutely essential. Before I got Nahida I used DMC and Collei and the team functioned very well still and got me a relatively easy 36* clear. I think this is one of Nilou's biggest strengths: she is dirt cheap to build (1/1/1 talents + random hp% off pieces are totally fine) and she is f2p friendly

I did sub in a half built level 70 mona after finally getting her and some of Nilou’s hydro teammates were stolen by yoimiya, and it was so comfy at the time that I ended up keeping the half built Mona in the team for abyss even when characters like yelan were available. I’m at a point with hydros now where I pretty much always have Mona benched but I feel like Imaginarium Theatre may have just saved her

As a Nilou main, I think there’s a good amount of variations without Nahida that are plenty strong if she has to go on another team. Collei, Yaoyao, and DMC tend to go really well with sword stance Nilou while Baizhu, Kirara, Kaveh, etc work better as the drivers. I try to go two of each element. Nilou really is a dancer because depending on her team lineup, the tempo you want to go out vastly changes.😅

As a nilou main. I have been using and clearing all abysses with her since her release. And i can say Nilou is actually pretty good against bosses, you don’t even need yelan or xq, because the bloom damage is so high. Basically 25-40k (depending who procs the blooms) twice every second, which is reasonable in single target

Just watched a TGS video (The Genshin Scientist - the best genshin TC imo and a very well respected TCer in general) and he gave Nilou the 4 most powerful f2p unit in the game right under the "big 3" Neuv, Alrechinnno, and Alhaitham. Alot of ppl were seething about it bc they hate her sm. But i think its a great place to have her. She is an insanely powerful dps.

The Yaoyao/Candace variant is my favorite. Yaoyao has the same thrusting CA that Hu Tao has so you can repeatedly apply hydro to enemies with N1CJ. I've found that to be the fastest way for her to apply hydro with Candace's infusion, personally. Added benefit to the jump cancel is that Yaoyao's A1 will throw additional radishes when you jump or sprint.

@@svenwalter4293 I think it means "1 Normal attack -> Charged attack --> jump (to cancel animation)". As a polearm user, going directly for a charged attack automatically starts with the unit doing a normal attack first, so there is no way to bypass it.

@@shenpai_ren I think I heard a rumor that Childe can used charged shots, his skill or his burst to apply hydro, but I’m not sure whether it’s true. To be fair though, Childe applies so much hydro that he completely overpowers the Dendro, so your Dendro character will be the one activating the bloom (and it needs to be an off fielder other than Nahida, so it narrows your team possibilities and damage).

I have personally tried using Childe, but I can’t find a good rotation, since he overpowers the Dendro, which means you have to switch but then you can’t switch back because his skill is on cooldown. That’s why I think catalyst characters are the best with Nilou, since you can always apply the element.

Your analysis got me in the mood to try out Nilou again. I love her, she's one of my favorite characters design-, gameplay- and story-wise, but every since Fontaine I was shifting my focus towards other teams that really good me excited to build and try out. Now seeing her in action again, how well her team still performs, how flexible the slots are and just generally how fun it is to play, definitely convinced me to upgrade my Nilou/Bloom comp and run it through the Abysses again.

I love using Collei Nahida as the dendro. Collei has so much dendro app in her kit that it can keep the dendro aura without it disappearing even for a split second though the downside is that she's a bit difficult to utilize compared to other choices

I have a high invested Nilou team and run her with Nahida, Yelan and Yao Yao. Higher investment lets you balance stats a little more due to all the bonuses, and Yelan really helps with the single target chambers- I cleared 12-3 Coppelia/Coppelius with this team very comfortably. I have Baizhu/Kokomi and builds to go with Nilou for them, but this team remains the most versatile and comfortable for me.

26:00 if you're looking for a burgeon team, try the curry or oven variations, these teams in terms of clear time is basically the same as kuki hyperbloom from my testing. to dumb it down, electro (curry) or cryo (oven) basically makes you generate consistent blooms for burgeon. The biggest downside of these teams is that the best variations makes you run a healer-less team so it's not as comfy for most casual players. Fischl, Thoma, Nahida w/ prot amber, Xingqiu (curry) Kaeya, Thoma, Nahida w/ prot amber, Xingqiu (oven) From my testing, these teams basically have the same clear time with Kuki, Yelan, Nahida, Xingqiu (if you use raiden instead of kuki here, i noticed it's around 15s faster in 12-1 but you also sacrificed your healer slot) So to tie this all down, what I'm basically saying is that we DON'T need a dedicated 5-star for burgeon, we just need a character, they could be a 4-star, that consolidates healing + off-field burgeon, that's also not tied to their burst so you can build as much EM as you can (similar to how kuki works)

Been maining Nilou bloom on one half of the abyss ever since her first rerun with Nahida. She's great, I pulled for Key at the time but she really doesn't need it. VERY f2p friendly, you basically just need Nahida.

I will say for non abyss content, I prefer kokomi, xinqiu, nahida. Xinqiu swords will protect nahida. there is something satisfying about holding nahida skill. then she takes the camera pose and when you let go all the enemies dissapear.

I've been using C1 Nilou since her debut and the analogy of her team comp adjustment is way closer to "art" than exact "science", the scaling can be subjected to each dendro and hydro application scaling a most Nilou users (including the most experienced ones) can often caught up in reaction applications without even reapplying Nilou pirouette Unfortunately her team can be really bad at breaking certain shields (not just Cryo but even geo too if the shield break requirement differs, pyro & electro shields would get instantly demolished though lol

In nearly every abyss, my C2 Nilou team is a core part of the roster, especially since I didn't have Kazuha up until AR60. She is basically my joker to skip floors. Definetely getting her skin and hopefully her weapon, too.

I play hu tao burgeon constantly (like real, full EM burgeon, I have a couple showcases up, pspsps baizhu is there), I'm basically a dedicated burgeon batchester, and I totally agree there needs to be more characters released to revive it! Burgeon is one of the most satisfying, rewarding, beautiful reactions, less brain dead than hyperbloom but more powerful if you get it right. Right now, in my opinion, burgeon is missing two types of units: 1. Any unit besides thoma to be an off field burgeon trigger, using their elemental skill alone so you don't need to build ER. No bullshit circles or cringe cooldowns either. 2. A hydro unit with decent application who will also heal you without circle impact, kind of like a hydro Baizhu, to be played alongside another hydro unit like Xingqiu or Yelan. This will make burgeon a lot more fun and accessible to play imo. Don't have her, so idk if Sigewinne fills this or if her application is bad. You'd think given the state of hydro healers we'd have one who fits this but between Barbara's cooldowns, Kokomi's stationary jellyfish, and Sigewinne's overall strange kit I feel unsatisfied especially as we have many other strong hydro characters. Also side note but thanks for the vid... It's been fifty years but I kinda want to pull for her now, plus you explained a lot of concepts very concisely.

I believe Nilou is future proof She will always synergize with anything that can apply hydro or dendro and if they ever make a 5* bloom dps or a powercreep version then you can put them on nilou and it'll be even stronger

You can try out Nilou Furina Benny XL, its the team core jello recommended if u want to play any kind of character on field. She helps alot in the Vapes and her Ult does good vape as well

Nilou Bloom has NOT fallen off. i just cleared perfect stars Abyss Floor 12-1 with Nilou team for second half. Nilou’s Bountiful Blooms always proves to be powerful whenever and wherever it works. (First half of F12-1 i used HuTao team)

Im actually surprised, I got nilou at 20 pity yesterday and even with lvl 50 nilou, lvl 70 xingqiu, lvl 80 dendro MC, and lvl 60 yaoyao I am beating fricking lvl 90 enemies. Damn nilou is crack and yaoyao heals so much, definitely pull for her especially if you have nahida

If youre on the fence, she's NUTS, requires little investment to be godly. Also fun, has her own niche using diverse units you might otherwise not use / doesnt need to use the typical hyper supports to do incredible

Something I wonder that I still don't have a clear answer to: why does dendro sometimes not reapply/vanish without a reaction? I play a bloom team with Nilou and generally I set up Nilous skill, then link enemies, then start throwing hydro at them and every time I do, Tri-Karma triggers and reapplies dendro and I can just keep doing my rotation and get multiple reactions off like this. However, there are strange occurences that have me scratch my head where Tri-Karma/dendro only applies once or twice and then it stops, while enemies are still marked and the hydro won't create blooms anymore. Why does the dendro sometimes just stop applying very quickly? I know part of the answer is when enemies aren't linked, I have seen this issue consistently with single-target battles. However, the strange thing is that it also sometimes, say 1 in 5 times, happen with groups, where dendro just vanishes and doesn't reapply unless I switch back to nahida prematurely to reapply manually.

My favorite bloom team is Nilou, Neuvillette, Nahida and Baizhu. I call it Draconic Bloom. It's a strong team but I felt like I'm wasting my Neuvillette's potential by being in a bloom team since he has a signature weapon and I don't really have a strong second team. Also his damage is based on 3 different hydro reaction, it's hard to reach that if you only have bloom. So I'm torn between replacing him and creating a team centered around him or just create another Team. (I only have Hu Tao as my last limited 5 star)

Been saving since 4.4 after getting Xianyun and Nahida. After building some pity and winning 50/50s managing to get Furina then had about 240 wishes. Had unexpected luck and after ripping through ended up with c2 Nilou, Navia c0 a Monda dupe and managed to get c6 Kirara for Nilou bloom, (c3 Kaveh and like c10 Ning...) No regrets as i pretty much have almost everyone I want at this point, though i would've liked some leftover pulls for Yelan or Mualani. I could either just save for cons for future reruns, I never really go for weapons. Yae Miko, Kokomi, Baizhu and Shenhe would be nice to have but are more flex picks.

where Nilou works, any option is good… if super bloom works, it’ll crush stuff… if it doesn’t it won’t… Although Key is a lot more power on paper, I think the reality is there isn’t a spot in the game where superbloom works but needs just a little extra from the Key

Someone please give advice!!! I have been saving up for Yelan and currently have around 90 wishes (haven’t spent any money for these wishes). I also really want Nilou and to play the bloom team properly. But I REALLY want Yelan and have skipped her twice, and need her for my Hu Tao (fav character) team. I started a brand new account I put my controller down to eat and my dog pulled on the wepon banner and got the key in one 10 pull and I already have nahida, yao yao and water dood. I guess my dog built my first team for me.

I am not sure how nahida skills works in that team with Nilou. Basically marking enemies with nahida skill and using any hydro character, after a few second there are no new blooom reactions at all, so I need to use another dendro character. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong

I play Kaveh Nilou team with Baizhu and Xingqiu. The key is not to use Nahida here because she steals Kaveh blooms. In this team hydro should be the aura and dendro - the trigger. Hope C6 Kaveh will not apply too much dendro. Nahida is super OK when Hydro is the trigger, basically on-field one to fully utilize EM from Nahida's Q. So there is three ways to play Nilou: dendro trigger, hydro trigger and uncontrollable triggers. The third one is the easiest, the first should be the most rewarding, the second is the most comfortable.

Do 2:2 hydro dendro ratio, you can only do 3:1 if you have nahida. I'd say Nilou, XQ, Collei and Yaoyao
