Nils Holgersson Soundtrack - Credits

Non-official edit. -READ ME- If you are to watch the show for yourself, keep in mind the Japanese original is nowhere as close to be great as the German dub, so I wouldn't recommend it. Due to the fact that an English dub doesn't exist, I was contemplating to gather a team of people that would be willing to sub the German version of the show, but I don't think that'd be happening any time soon. So if you do know German, you're in luck.

Nils Holgersson, super soundtrack by Karel Svoboda. The best series in the world! I'm a big fan of geese and I'm among wild geese regularly! They're never boring, always interesting, very intelligent and social! I adore geese and love them to bits!

The series has the best sense of pace along with Heidi in my eyes, I adore these shows. I say hi to your geese! :)

@@the1lostsoul Yes, Heidi is also very good! I've subbed the last 4 episodes of Nils Holgersson (German) to english by the way for a friend. It was a lot of work... The Japanese version of Nils is interesting. The geese have other gestures (more anthropomorphic), the episodes are a couiple of minutes longer than the german version, some stuff cut and so on. But I prefer the German version, it has the much better soundtrack, and the geese act like geese do, without anthropomorphized gestures and so on. Thanks I'll greet my geese! :)

@@RaptureMusicOfficial Wow, that's awesome! It would be wonderful if the English-speaking community could give the series a chance. Subbing 52 episodes would be a loot of work, but I think of translation as an ultimately rewarding task. I would be willing to gather a team of people to sub along with me, but I can't prioritize the project. It would be like a small hobby for me. I have watched some of the Japanese original, but I can't remember much anymore to judge correctly. Its tone seems very different from what I've noticed though. Those different approaches were interesting, but just like you, I prefer the German version. It's the same with Heidi, soundtrack and tonal-wise. Sigh.. don't get me started on how wonderful the respective German soundtracks are. Without them, this video tribute wouldn't exist!

@@the1lostsoul Yep! Same with Captain Future! The German soundtrack is fantastic, space disco made by Christian Bruhn (another composer hero for me, just like Karel Svoboda!) In the Japanese original, the atmosphere is also different due to a so-so jazzy soundtrack etc. Thanks for your Nils Holgersson tribute btw, keep up the good work!
