I've noticed that when you play specific characters those characters head details poke through the camera. Wether you like or dislike this I would like to recommend a system where those details only appear when you look up or down as they slowly float into the screen and out. This way it's not constantly floating in your view out of nowhere but you are more immersed into the characters.

I really admire your work in this project. It would be great if the game could simulate in the sword or melee fighting “binding, winding and parrying”techniques from medieval combat, where the strength and weight of the enemy can influence the sword fight. For example, if the enemy is stronger or their weapon is heavier, or his weapon, they could gradually overpower the player's blade if the player’s character is tired or significantly weaker ( and vice versa ). This mechanic would add a realistic layer to the combat, that i havent seem at any vr melee game, like, when it happens, only happens in the enemy, not on the player. I know your game alredy have something like this at certain points.

And even the small things make a big difference like how changing your grip seems effortless compared to Bone lab or Blade and Sorcery or how watching your character start to realistically army crawl instead of having your legs fly around like in many other VR games makes it feel so much more real. well, the multiplayer is likely fairly easy to implement, but from my experience with physics systems I know that fully simulated interactions with other players is already extremely difficult in conventional multiplayer, and probably even more so in vr. I also wonder, would multiplayer ever be in the cards for this project? If not I’m sure this engine would still be the BEST but I feel as if the potential to experience this with friends would make for a truly breathtaking experience.
@NimsoStudios7 ай бұрын
Thanks for the compliments. The systems involved in this have been improving steadily for about 7 or 8 years also, videos showcasing the early versions of this stuff go back to the start of the channel. It's easier to get an idea of the plan if we separate what's being shown here in to 2 things. The mechanics and everything under the hood I've called the Hybrid Engine. The game itself is currently named ProjectTX but that's just the working title, it might change. For this first game, I want to keep these raw mechanics, really showing how much intrigue and fun can come from the nature of these mechanics, though it'll still be a proper game, a relatively simple storyline and simple progression from start to finish. The Hybrid engine is a pretty big collection of systems but I want to keep pushing it further. I plan on licensing it at least in parts to make these standards usable outside of just my own games. Multiplayer will be possible in future, but I will be making more games after this one to start implementing those extensions to the engine.

Hey Nimso! I have a suggestion for further enhancing the dual wielding mechanics of your game! The proper way to do a dual wielding reload in real life is to drop the mags from both pistols, then transition the pistol in your offhand over to your dominant hand, so that you are holding both pistols side by side in one hand. Then you grab two magazines with your left hand in the spaces between your thumb, index finger, and middle finger, then guide the two magazines into the two pistols in your other hand at the same time. If you could incorporate a system that allows you to attach the pistol in one hand to the side of another pistol facing away from the palm it is being held in, so that it is "grabbed" and remains stationary and a way to grab two magazines side by side with the other hand, kind of like H3VR's mag palming system, (you could also disable grabbing two magazines if you have two different kinds of pistols in one hand, so you would need to index two different magazine types, and might need to do two grabbing and loading operations for both pistols) that would easily make your game the best dual wielding VR experience in existence. The closest thing you can get to a system like this in other games like bonelab is to balance one pistol on top of the other, and grab and insert a single magazine two times. This can be fairly practical with some practice, but you can still only do it when standing still, because the moment you start moving, the balanced pistol will fall away, and sometimes bringing a magazine into proximity with the magwell of a loaded pistol may cause it to automatically eject the loaded pistol's magazine, which is super aggravating. H3VR's mag palming system helps with this to some extent, but it is still super janky trying to insert both magazines at the same time and often, you'll end up just inserting both magazines one at a time. It would be a dream come true to see this incorporated into your game. I have been wanting to see this done properly in a VR game for such a long time now. Not even once in any video game have I ever seen a faithful representation of a tandem pistol reload. Thanks a bunch!
@softsharp82659 ай бұрын
I have a suggestion for your videos. I noticed that when you are aiming your gun. Your non-dominant eye is being tracked through the lens. Therefore when you look down a reticle it looks different from what you're seeing when you're playing your game. I would suggest looking to see if you can record out of the other lens to match up with your dominant eye. Lots of people are right-eyed dominant but they're capture software captures their left eye.😊
