I've seen Nina in the 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s, and 20s! I met her 20 min after hearing her for the first time on the tape deck in a female acquaintances car stereo on the way to an animal rights convention. The album was NUNSEXMONKROCK I was like "Who is This?? "Nina Hagen, she's gonna be at the animal rights thing“. I couldn't wait to see the face behind the music I was hearing. Had p no idea she was super hot to boot! I fell in love that pain started out with going to marry her at some point. Los Angeles where I'm from and my plan was in action. Didn't marry her, didn't have sex with her, but through diligence and perseverance, I DID KISS her once and became her friend for many years! (NOT SUPER CLOSE FREINDS, MIND YOU, But close enough that SOMETIMES, she would remember my name...LOL!) Close enough to where I Got on the guest list at every show, and even had her on speed dial on my phone! I even met her MOTHER AVA and the 3 of us ate BAKLAVA, WHile Nina signed posters backstage, and after the club was empty I danced with her Mom to old songs. I didn't drive that night. My friend did, and had left many hours earlier. I was faced with a Long Walk home that night The gig was in San Diego and I loved in L.A. ! Ha! Only 180 miles away! Didn't care. I got home a couple days later. Best times of my life were with Nina, (Caterina); by my side! If you somehow read this Nina, I wonder if you remember me? Remember Tequila Mockingbird? It was THOSE YEARS! Good night all.....
