I was in the punk scene from a couple of years before this was new. I always respected her for what she did, and had most of her records, even if she's not really my cup of tea. But I respected her for doing exactly whatever the fuck she wanted to do. Still listen to punk almost everyday and have stage-dived in every decade from the 70's till now. It's getting a little tougher as I'm getting closer to 60. I sure don't do it all night long any more. Haven't got mine in 2020 yet. Pandemia and all.

Well at last a fair comparison! I can't believe some people compares Lady Gaga (?) with her. I'd compare her with Patton or Perry Farrell, about 10 years before them, or Siouxsie, with some added "kraut" awkwardness... Also, Patton , Perry and Siouxsie bands were always astonishing too, whereas Nina's bands just comped correctly and sort of just backed songs in which her voice was the main (or only) attraction. Though good, her bands didn't seem to be up to her style...

@jsmog4 жыл бұрын
If you watch the whole thing, she gets along fine with Christian Ide Hintze, a poet, who is sitting on her right, and with Ingeborg Schober, the blonde next to him, who was one of the first female German rock journalists (and probably knew Nina's parents.) She argues with Umberto Fink, a pretty famous journalist (the guy in the suit), who also argues with Schober, but it's all friendly; the show is almost 2 hours long after all, and pretty much like the aftermath of every dinner party I've had the pleasure to attend in Europe. After this song it slowly gets ugly when Nina starts arguing with the two students across from her, members of the RFJ, the youth group of the right-wing Freiheitliche Partei Österreichs. They were provoking Hintze, which irritated her and eventually led to her infamous orgasm demonstration. Even though no one remarked on it during the show, it became a big scandal and the host, Dieter Seefranz, had to resign over it.
