I don't understand the negative comments, it's like they're looking to find flaws at all costs. It's a superlative voice paying a high price as switching from a full wagneriana to all the refined elegant singing line of a desperate young girl with an Italian temper such as Aida is a step that only the greatest can afford. I don't think we should compare Nina in Wagner to Nina in Verdi, as the vocal line and mechanism is so different. And she can do the switch so greatly. Not many can do this in these days of shouting and belting at a young age as it is now happening in modern theatre. Wow, she's a great artist, just forget how she sounds in Wagner as she's playing in a totally different league here. Chapeau Nina 💐

Great Aida! What a clear, penetrating voice, and a very impassioned actress. Somehow, I'm always most impressed with the quality of German voices more than any others Dernesch, Varnay, Modl, Soderstrom - must have a lot to do with the excellent music schools there, and other factors.

Scheinbar spielt die Inszenierung in der Entstehungszeit von Aida. Aber wieso gibt es keine Personenregie? Stemme steht ziemlich allein auf der Bühne und hat eigentlich 7 Minuten lang nur zu singen. Das geht auch konzertant. Stimmlich bin ich ohnehin ein Fan von ihr, schön zu hören, wie größere Stimmen mit Verdi klar kommen, der gerade bei Aida häufig ein wenig unterbesetzt dasteht. Also, liebe stimmlich gesunden Kolleginnen von Stemme: Traut euch auch mal weg von Brünnhilde und Elektra, die Italiener ölen eure Stimmbänder!
