Trent Reznor is one of the most underrated musicians ever. He puts everything into his music. Amazing talent.
@jenlambert12592 жыл бұрын
Underrated?!?! Where have you been? Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum (2020) Grammy Award (1995) Grammy Award (1992) Notable Works: “Broken” “Ghosts I-IV” “Pretty Hate Machine” “The Downward Spiral” “The Fragile” “With Teeth” “Year Zero”. In collaboration with Atticus Ross, Reznor also began to compose for motion pictures. Their music for The Social Network (2010) won the Academy Award for best original score, and their work on The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) was honoured with a Grammy. Their score for Gone Girl (2015) was also nominated for a Grammy. The pair later provided the music for the climate-change documentary Before the Flood and the thriller Patriots Day (both 2016) as well as for the 2017 Ken Burns documentary series The Vietnam War. For the animated film Soul (2020), Reznor and Ross collaborated with Jon Batiste on the score, which won an Oscar.

@@leslieswiman7297 Well, that’s not really the case in this sense. The album is about his downward spiral. Hence the name “The Downward Spiral” and the entire album is about his self hate and him using her as an escape, and using her body to control himself. The line: “You get me closer to god” is literal, in the sense that he is suicidal and him using her just gets him closer to killing himself. It’s nothing about love, it’s about hatred, and shame, and all the bad things about himself.
