"There's nowhere left to hide... 'Cause God is on our side." "...I keep tellin' myself!" This is one of my favorite pieces of lyrics that Trent has created. It's so damn true. I wonder how many soldiers feel this way. They believe that God is on their side because they're in the right, but is it really true or is it what they keep telling themselves in order to keep going? What really makes a good soldier? This song is fucking genius. I appreciate our military and wish that they were treated so, SO much better. Ultimately, what makes a soldier good? The side they are fighting on, or their heart? Maybe neither? Or both? Also, the fucking xylophone. So damn beautiful.
