Wonderful! Very thorough research. Just to let you know in tournament play - once you are down to only three you are allowed to 'fly' and jump to any point. This makes the game very challenging and adds several levels of strategic planning, since the person down to three then has an advantage. All in all this is a difficult game to play well despite it's apparent simplicity. Thank you for the great video.

Thanks for the comments. Not sure why I didn't mention the "flying" phase in the animation, but it is in the instructions for the Peg Pastimes game, and my Peg Pastimes book (available on Amazon). It's a wonderful game.

If youre opponent have 4 pieces in the board and you have 8 or 9 pieces you can easly to block youre opponent when he cant to move his pieces.and you win the game .another strategu for you to win if you have 8 or 9 pieces in the board and he has 4 pieces you must to open 3 mill to win😊

You forgot to mention that players with only three pieces can move a piece anywhere on their turn, and that a player unable to move loses.
@DavidMMcCord Жыл бұрын
Thanks, Zev. That was already mentioned by another viewer, and I appreciate the feedback.

The original did not actually have that. The flying rule was not an original rule, however it was adopted in to many versions.

I used to hate this game because I'd be forced to play it as a mini game on assassin's creed. Now I love it

This game wasn't part of the Kickstarter peg game collections, was it? Will it be available to buy at Red Hen Toys Games?

Did you get my reply? (Not sure if it worked last night). At the risk of being redundant: redhentoys.com/products/nine-mens-morris-game

"Until the game is won". How does one win?

When one player is down to two pegs, they can no longer form rows of three, therefore they lose.

Utterly pointless game. If neither play is an idiot, the game is a draw.
