no, it doesn't. the interface of carbon with metals may corrode the metal though, which is why, for instance, forks today don't have any metal in them.

So basically once hammered, the carbon fork didn’t break, but is STILL rendered unridable. Jeez, the demo don’t mean jack then.

The video is meant to illustrate that people who claim you can't/shouldn't use carbon on mountain bikes because they can't handle impact damage are not thinking clearly. Carbon composites, if designed to do so, can handle impact damage better than metal at a given weight. As shown here.
