Niner jet 9 RDO. A Mountain bike to do it all?
A new bicycle brand has entered the bike shop! It is none other than the infamous Niner Bicycles. Niner has always prided themselves on being at the rowdier end of the 29er spectrum but have been attempting to make a bike that also pedals efficiently. This is my first Niner that I am taking a close look at and will be Keiths mountain bike of choice for the upcoming race season.

I am you at MTB, and I have purchased the Niner rip 9 V2 2011; it turned out in that pretty much everything on the bike, except really nice wheels have died. So everything except wheelset and handbars are replaced 😢 Which brought me to the new idea geometry of that frame is really outdated, lost in the frame, as I understand as much heavier than the modern one. Could you please recommend me a watch frame to buy? I’m 6 feet tall, 212 pounds. I would really appreciate your feedback

Can you do a review of the RIP 9 and call it the jet 9? Just kidding. I love your candid reviews. This bike is in sale right now in 2 Star for $3400. That’s good deal! Easy to replace the SX stuff rather than crap suspension. Love how your friend specd his bike. Very good video

Just got a Trance myself. My routes are slower right now, but I think it's because I'm still getting used to the differences. Coming from a hard tail.

Also bought a 21 Giant Trance 29 3 a few weeks ago. First dual suspension since I've always ridden "affordable" hard tales. Mossie's video's were a big contributor to my decision on buying this over the Stance 1. I'm not regretting that decision at all! Only downer on the Trance so far, I had read the wheels were supposed to be 30mm wide, I received 25mm internal wide wheels instead. OH and saw enough reviewers complaining about the paint chipping, covered mine with RideWrap.

tbh. never heard of niner till this year. not sure are they really available outside of united states. I live in small-ih country, small market, but not really sure that you can get niner in Europe in regular stores. as for mistakes in video, we are all humans :) keep up with the great work

I have no offense against Niner brand but I've always found their mtb frames are kinda ugly not streamlined like the new anthem advanced or specialized epic. But I'm sure they are fine brand.

Niner have the worst customer service from a bike company ever. My mountain bike sat on a bike shop for half a year waiting for niner to send a shock mount bolt. It was very disappointing for a company to reply to a bike shop a month after sending multiple inquiries and shipping the bolt more than 4 months after. I had the Niner Jet RDO as well.

That's interesting. I agree that is unacceptable but they may have gotten better customer service since then. We had the same issue with a shock mount bolt needing replaced and they expedited the part to use free of charge. BUT that has been the only dealings we have had so far with the warranty department

@@MossieRidesBikes I really hope so, I got my bike back last month. I wouldn’t want that to happen to anyone else. Just salty that I couldn’t ride my bike the whole summer :)

I just had a great customer service experience with them. 2017 frame had a small crack, they sent a 2022 frame with new shock immediately. Couldn't be happier!
