you should always clean the sides of the pistons before squeezing them back into the seals you could damage the seals with trash carried into the seal area.

I was wondering where did you purchase your EBC brake pads since cycle gear sells them really expensive

What size socket is that you used 6mm or 16 mm I've been to every auto parts store and I only see 5/8with rubber boot can I use that socket or use a hose to fit over porcelain part of plug so it can go in with ease without me dropping it and causing the gap to be off.

I'm going to do spark plugs again soon and I'll be sure to mention the socket size.

I think 5/8 and 16mm are interchangeable.

Hi...i have a question regarding bleeding abs brake...do u just bleed it like normal brake without abs?
@Wrenchie4 жыл бұрын
Yes.... The bleeder tools make it effortless. There is a ABS block stuffed away (under the tank/seat?) that also has brake fluid in it. The bleeder pump will get that too. My friend has a Triumph Storm with ABS that requires you to hook up a laptop to the bike computer and run $1,000 US piece of software to activate the ABS solenoid to bleed them completely. Most Japanese ABS bike are bled the same and non-ABS

NGK LASER IRIDIUM CR9EIA-9 is a original z1000 spark plug?
Ever heard of cleaning the entire calipers whilst you have them off bike ? Rougher than a dogs arse
@TheBlackbird466 жыл бұрын
Very badly carried out,No need to remove abs sensor,No mention of cleaning brake pistons or retaining pins,No mention of using brake grease on pins etc,No mention of checking brake fluid level,These 2 should NOT be servicing Brakes.

I hear ya' Roger. Couple of things... off camera we did a complete brake fluid change using a vacuum system connected to the compressor. I had to leave before that was completed. I agree with you, when you have the brake caliper off the rotor, you might as well do some preventative maintenance.... cleaning, piston inspection/cleaning, seals, etc. The pin grease is a good extra precaution, especially on older bikes. If you look at the next video in sequence, the Coolant change/oil change, I took a little time at the beginning of the video to address some of your same observations. So, I guess we are in agreement. Oh, BTW - when removing the caliper from the rotor, you actually do need (well we needed to) remove the ABS sensor as there is not enough ABS cable slack to easily work on the brakes. That may be a shortcoming on this model of the Ninja. Not sure, what do you ride and do you have enough slack?
