Nice to see a Pro at work. As there are too many wanna be mechanics on You Tube. 🔧🔧🔧

I have had the dust seal pop out twice on my ZX9R, which looks like the same caliper, as you said, the groove is very shallow, great vids, keep them coming!

Great video as always. I'm a motor mechanic myself, (Mazda,Fiat and MG🙈) and those clips you encounter on the fairing are common too on cars/vans (usually engine bay undertrays.) They really become a pain as they age and get brittle. I picked up a big box of different types on temu. (No affiliation on my part!!) Which are very handy I must say. Keep up the great work. Very interesting.

you made that look easy 👍 I'm now going to go on ebay and find out if I can afford a speed bleeder, my fluids gets cooked at track days and have to be swapped out a lot. thanx for posting

Makes my fairing removal for the ZZR 1400 look like a doddle !

What a pain. I would definitely do that oil change with the fairing on.

Calipers at the bottom get so much road crud. Much easier to clean and inspect when they’re positioned above the disc.

I always find brake refurbs theraputic (from a viewing perspective) 🙂 Do you find the brake fluid drips out the disconnected hose?
@BikerBroughy2 ай бұрын
If you hold the brake lever in the on position it won't empty the system. So tie the front lever back or hang a weight on the pedal.

Dremel mini wire brushes make than job much easier

Just go easy so you don’t start removing any actual material from the caliper. I was always taught power tools make mistakes quickly.

Rubber grease on a brake piston? Why??
@BikerBroughy2 ай бұрын
Because the rubber seals touch it, if you use normal grease they will swell up and make it bind..
@ballockybill22772 ай бұрын
@@BikerBroughy Only supposed to use brake fluid on those things, not grease of any kind.

Alot of the time faired bikes are dirty and neglected behind the fairing

Fairing design is so poor these days from a maintenance and ascetic perspective. Compare it with my 2006 MV Agusta with the quick release clips…. I can’t get them off in minutes ….plus it looks beautiful!
