0:54 To avoid needing the plunger on the Vitamix, just add the ingredients that are easier to blend towards the bottom (water, then spinach, then mango/pineapple in this instance). The vortex it creates will pull the frozen stuff down and blend it without intervention needed most of the time.

The Ninja Detect is the best blender of any for the money if you can't afford a Vitamix. But when you can afford it, the Vitamix is the best and last blender you'll ever have to buy. And you can hand it down to your kids. It's well worth the money. I have one just like yours, red and all. I've had it for 23 years and it shows no signs of slowing down. It blows every other blender I've ever owned away bar none.

I agree with you - the Detect is a great option but the Vitamix is truly top tier.

I used to think Ninja blenders were so great. Then I got a Vitamix. Night and day difference.

Yeah, and that's totally fair. When I had my Ninja, yeah, thinking of buying an expensive blender wasn't even an option. But, when I bought my Vitamix,I just got a refurbished one. It works perfectly 10 years later and it only cost a little more than a new Ninja. I just checked and you can still get them for a really good price.

Good question - Maybe I should hook up a meter to see the difference? I feel like it might just be the efficiency of the blade and design of the blender?
