We love our coffee, and today we review the Ninja Espresso and Coffee Barista System. It does regular drip coffee and can use Nespresso capsules as well. It also has a frothing wand build in for a variety of drinks.

About the machine dripping some after closing the lid, you can use the switch above the cup to "closed" before closing the lid, that way you won't have any dripping. And like it was already mentioned, since you already had the first taste from one cup, the 2nd one will seem smoother if you don't cleanse your palate before the try. Otherwise good review. I got the Ninja machine and i'm satisfied with it.. Weirdly though, mine doesn't have the ristretto option, only espresso, lungo and over ice.

You’re right about the “closed” option, and the cleansing of the palate definitely makes sense. As far as the ristretto, from what I’ve seen, only the Best Buy version of the machine has that size as an option. We’re glad you found the review helpful and are enjoying your new coffee maker. And thank you for supporting our channel.

The problem with the Ninja Espeesso machine is that it does not allow for you to make regular coffee using the K-cups. I love my lattes on the weekends, but for convenience during the week I need my machine to be able to make a single serving cup of coffee using the K-cup. If the Ninja Espresso machine had that feature, then I would have purchased it for sure.

I make a regular cup of coffee with the ninja by simply using 2 pods and set it to Lungo. Not sure what you mean about it not making a regular cup. And the Ninja doesn’t use KCups anyway, it uses nespresso original line pods.

If you don't cleanse your pallette before drinking your second shot, then you can't trust the flavor of the second shot. The crema of the first shot has already numbed your taste buds removing a bit of the bitterness.

@Seven Minute Reviews it's still a good enough review, though, that I bought it yesterday because of it. Because I figured that since that crema was so full that it only made since that a second shot. Since I'm a lungo drinker, that it would be sufficient enough for my needs.

Hi there! Great review! Are you able to use the L'Or espresso capsules with the Ninja espresso and coffee barista system?
@sevenminutereviews
@sevenminutereviews Жыл бұрын
Hi Erin. Thank you for your kind words. You can use the smaller L’Or capsules (the espresso capsules) in the Ninja Espresso and Coffee Barista System. You can not, however, use the larger L’Or coffee size capsules in the Ninja system as they are unique to only the L’Or system. They won’t fit in the Ninja. But keep in mind, the Ninja system can make single cup coffee as well using ground coffee. Hope that helps, and thank you for your support of our channel.

Hi Rumeel. We’ve used the Ninja DualBrew Pro at the office, and it’s a pretty nice machine as well. Good choice if you want the option to use K-Cups and coffee grinds. If you plan to use mainly ground coffee and Nespresso pods (and no K-Cups), the Espresso and Coffee Barista System is hard to beat as far as value. You can even buy a separate Nespresso Aeroccino milk frother for warm frothed milk. But if you want to try latte art and have a true microfoam with your milk, the Breville Creatista line is very nice, and is a beautiful looking machine as well. We actually recently started using the Gaggia Magenta Plus Super-Automatic Espresso Machine and will be reviewing that soon as well (probably within a month). It makes espresso based drinks with the touch of a button, going from whole beans to a cup of espresso. It also features a pretty nice steam wand for making good microfoam, but takes some learning and getting used to in order to get nice results with your milk texturing (the Creatista does the hard part for you). I’m sure you will make the best choice for your needs. Thank you for supporting our channel.

Thank you for comparing it to other nespresso makers. I was really wondering how it stacked up to an actual nespresso machine. I don’t currently own one. But also want a drip coffee machine.

Hi Preston. We are very happy to hear the review was helpful. I actually just posted a new review of the L’Or Barista Coffee And Espresso System. It does Nespresso capsules as well as Lor’s own espresso and coffee size capsules as well. Not quite a drip coffee maker, but makes 5, 8, and 12 oz coffee sizes with the larger capsules. Here is a link to the review if you’d like to check it out, and as always thank you for supporting our channel. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYe1YWx8a8mEi7M

Yeah... maybe throw the drip stop switch before opening up and discarding the grounds. That's what it's for and, you'll no longer be annoyed. The only time the drip stop should be deactive is when you're brewing.

Hi Alex. You’re absolutely right about the drip stopper. My only main issue with the drip stopper has been that if used, it results in some coffee being left in the brew basket and either being let to drip out later or taken care of when removing the coffee grounds. That being said, you are absolutely correct in that Ninja has a solution to prevent dripping. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and for supporting our channel.

Hi Rock,N Robin. If I’m correct in what you’re referencing, I believe you’re referencing the latte art in the latte from the Breville vs the latte from the Ninja. Our intention is to convey to our viewers that while the Ninja offers a huge variety of options of the type of coffee drink to make, it has some limitations. In that example, it shows the limitations of the frothing wand, which will make very rich, thick foam, but can’t make the “microfoam” needed for something like latte art (though calling the result we got on our attempt there art is a bit of a stretch 😂). That doesn’t take away from the fact that the Ninja is a great machine, makes delicious lattes/cappuccinos, and is a huge value for the price. Thank you for viewing and interacting on our channel.

Thanks for this video. You brought up a few things I didn’t consider! How tall is the pot? I’m wondering if a standard Yeti cup will fit in that space. I’m considering this machine over the Cuisinart Coffee Center Barista Bar 4-In-1 Coffee Maker which takes Kcups, but that doesn’t look like it has much space for all my bulky cups.
@sevenminutereviews
@sevenminutereviews Жыл бұрын
Hi Jennifer. A travel mug that is about seven and a half inches should fit in the drip coffee section as the 12 cup pot is about seven and a half inches tall. The 20 oz Yeti is less than 7 inches tall so that should work. The 30oz Yeti is almost 8 inches in height and may not fully fit. I haven’t tried the Cuisinart Barista Bar but that looks like a nice machine as well. If you’re not planning on using K-cups, the Ninja is a great machine for the price, and Ninja has $50 off that unit until 12/31/22 and Amazon seems to have a more discounted price currently at $179.99. That’s a great price for what you get in my opinion. One more thing to note is that the ninja doesn’t heat the milk as it froths it but the Cuisinart seems to warm and froth milk and even dispense hot water with its steam wand. If the Cuisinart has more features you want, you can always make a carafe of coffee and pour it into your Yeti. 🙂 Hope that helps and thank you for your support of our channel.

Are you able to confirm the ounces that should be pulled in each shot style for the ninja? E.g., espresso, lungs, etc. I got this machine about a month ago and it seems like the amount of liquid being pulled from these shots has dramatically decreased. But I'm not sure what normal is.

Based on the user manual, espresso is 40mL, over ice is 30 mL, and Lungo is 110 mL. Thank you for your support of our channel and for your question.

Hi Brenda. Here is a link to Nespresso’s website for their original line capsules. www.nespresso.com/us/en/original-coffee-pods You can easily find them on Amazon as well. Just search for Nespresso original line capsules. They are the smaller ones. The Nespresso Vertuo line capsules will not fit, and neither will K-Cups. Please let me know if you need any more assistance with it. Thank you for your support of our channel.
