The whole idea of a crumble mix is to keep the mix rough, lumpy and loose to allow air in between the particles of the crumble so that the hot air can bake it rather than have the mix compressed. I have never been concerned about a Ninja tornado occurring in the fryer blowing the mix around due to having a "bake" setting. For a really crunchy crumble I use lumpy demerara sugar and fold it into the butter and flour mixture with a fork to keep the mix light and lumpy in texture and also add oats if preferred as Diane suggested below. The rougher and less fine the crumble mixture is, the less likely it is to blow around if at all. Nice recipe though guys and good video!🤗

Melting the butter first then add sugar and fold in flour and put under a grill. Stir it a couple of times until crumbly and toasted. Then spoon on top of your apples
