I recently bought this for my mother who is medically fragile and find it really is a gem with making healthy food, very tasty so far. I made carrots puree that tasted like sweet potatoes and have enjoyed the manual cook mode which gives a person control over the cook. I am still learning how to use it but so far the two things I wish it did, would take a smaller smoothie cup to make my mother individual healthy shakes and a boil only button to be able to reconstitute chilis for mexican dishes or make noodles. But overall very happy, it actually is more versatile with the heat function than the Vitamix I had for years.

I did chuckle about the beeps. I've just ordered this machine to sit with my Ninja kettle, air fryer, and panini toaster... they all beep the same haha.

Thank you for this video, Clara, and for reporting some clear observations. It feels like the news at 10 😅 I’ve just bought one on eBay for £50 seems like it will turn this single dad’s life around. Get some veg in my son too! Will try the freezer to see if ice cream function can be better. Because I love cream and chocolate and sugar frozen all together. Will check your to the point other reviews, too. Thank you!

Thanks for the comment it’s really appreciated. I have to say the Ninja Creami is really excellent for quick but healthy ice cream, so worth considering. The only downside is no two ways about it, it does spend six months in the cupboard…. But then Christmas decorations spend 11 months in the loft! 😆🤷♀️

Thanks so much for this - one look at the cleaning brush and my heart sank...! Your vids have helped me make up my mind to replace my elderly Morphy Richards Total Control with the MR one you can sauté without the lid on... Thanks so much!

This was very helpful, thank you. My mother-in-law just bought one for my husband and I as a first year anniversary gift. She didn't realise it was also a soup maker, and I am not familiar with them, so I was curious about what to expect when using it. Especially the cleaning. I am looking forward to trying it out!

Late to the party, but a bit of dish soap and warm/hot water could take care of most of the internal jar cleaning. Is it rated dishwasher safe?
@CandidClara3 ай бұрын
The problem is the blades at the bottom make it very easy to cut yourself, that’s why you need the cleaning cycle. The lid is dishwasher safe but you the jug has electrical connections

Have you ever tried to cook rice pudding or semolina pudding or risotto with the Ninja Foodi, which require slow but constant stiring? I could imagine that these are too thick. Thanks!

The blades in it are so sharp I think you'd be left with mush, but I may be wrong!

Thanks for doing this review. I was wondering if the clean function it has is enough? I don't want old spinach from my soup floating around my hot chocolate! Torn between this and the Tefal perfectmix which has a removable blade.
@CandidClara6 ай бұрын
Amazingly the clean cycle has always done the job for me (last used my blender on Friday, so it gets a lot of use) but the Tefal sounds interesting, I will check it out!

Interesting how the UK and US versions have different functions or perhaps same function but labelled differently?

I’m intrigued, what function do you have/not have?
@EsoTarek9 ай бұрын
@CandidClara I haven't purchased it but noticed UK version has a jam function whereas US has dip/sauce, UK version doesn't have the ice cream either. You can see the differences by zooming in on the units

How did it do with blending ice?
@CandidClara3 ай бұрын
I've only blended frozen fruit in it and it struggles a bit, it's primarily a soup maker and I'd suggest one of Ninja's dedicated blenders would be a better choice as they are more powerful

Ninja recommend the multi-blender or power nitro blender for peanut butter. I think the processing power of this model isn’t as powerful as those models
