Made this for Christmas in my 6qt IP. It was the first time I have ever had such juicy turkey! This is now what will be used for years to come. Thank you!

Hey, Jeff, I just cooked this recipe step by step in my Ninja Foodi, and I've got to tell you, it was delicious! The turkey and the gravy turned out amazing! Here's something you'll love hearing... I've never cooked a turkey or turkey breast in my entire life! This was just so simple and delicious that I just had to let you know! Thanks! Dougie

I bought one today up here in Canada at a local Canadian Tire, blown away by how good wings are after the pressure and then the 15 min air fry! Now I'm making pork chops above rice and spinach;) thanks for these videos.

Thanks Jeffrey! I made this turkey breast in my Instant Pot using your recipe and it was so tender and delicious. Couldn't believe how easy it was. For the gravy, I made one variation. I used my immersion blender (which I bought because of you) in the gravy and it pureed all those carrots and celeries and made it all creamy. You are the best!

I am so glad you make these videos. What a great idea. I have an 8 quart Ninja Foodi in part because it had high ratings and after watching your videos with the Instant Pot, I’m glad I don’t have to worry about all that deglazing because the N.F. has a non-stick pot and it is HIGH quality ! The Instant Pot recipes work GREAT in the N.F. This is going to work very well ! Thanks again !

I have a 13 pound turkey in a roasting pan cooking on my countertop right now! I love how it frees up my oven for the sides. Friends are coming over soon to enjoy it with us. ( I bought a bigger turkey for thanksgiving and needed the space in my freezer so pre-thanksgiving dinner it is!) ❤️ very economical meal, with great leftovers to make other meals out of.

These turkey breasts go on sale on the time! So great timing! The rub sounds great. I was thinking it would all melt off but it didn’t. I haven’t had luck with cornstarch slurry. It doesn’t refrigerate or freeze well for me. Instead I use instant potato flakes. Doesn’t take much and freezes and refrigerates like a charm. Just a thought in case other people don’t have luck with cornstarch. I’m thinking of getting my brother-who is a foodie deluxe-an instant pot for Christmas and directions to your channel. Beef stroganoff anyone?

Hi Jeff, Recipe looks fabulous! I am a health care professional and just want to give you the latest info on preparation of poultry. It is no longer recommended that raw poultry be rinsed. The process of rinsing it spatters raw poultry juices all over the sink area potentially spreading bacteria. Just patting it dry is all that is really needed.
@AundriaM6 жыл бұрын
I prefer to rinse my meat to remove any dirt/impurities caused by handlers in the packing house. Sure it takes a bit more effort to clean my sink/counters, but I do it. It's the way I was taught by my mom and no one has ever gotten sick.

For the past decade I’ve been in charge of making the Thanksgiving Turkey. Been brining it and cooking it the old fashioned way. Usually a 20-22 pounder, always came out tender and juicy. I’m going to try a turkey breast in my IP, brine it the same as I have been doing, but definitely make your gravy. I’ll be able to try out my immersion blender (thanks Jeff). I’ll let you know how it turns out.

I have a question that requires an answer! How did you choose to use "bake" rather than "broil" or the Air Crips. Also - how do you KNOW (how will I know) how much time to set it for? I have an IP, not a NF, but I'd like to have an NF and so ...... choosing which button to push is sometimes the ???? Thanks! Looks great! Glad to hear someone choosing Kitchen Bouquet (or similar) to brown up. I have always used it for gravies.

Hi Jeff and Richard. Truly enjoy watching your videos here. I love my Ninja Foodi too & must try out this recipe. It looks superb. I don't recommend piercing the cooked breast to remove it from the pot. You lose juice that way. Just place the forks underneath and lift it up.

Two questions. I’m new to instant pot and just discovered the mealthy crisper. 1. Should I slightly undercook my food to take into account browning time, for let say, this turkey breast? 2. If you keep poking those long forks into the turkey to keep transfer between several locations, will it dry out the turkey, by letting out the juices, every time you poke it?

You can cook any meat in a PC, even frozen solid chunks. One of the first things I cooked was a 4.5 lb. corned beef, which was frozen solid. However, to get the yummy glaze of brown sugar and mustard on it, once it was bathed in the concoction, a 30 min. visit inside the oven topped it off! But, we didn’t have to wait all day as cooking it in a slow cooker or leaving it out to thaw for a day. That’s was great about IPs or PCs. You can grab that frozen chunk o’ beef and toss it in your IP and relax! Dinner will be ready in a fraction of the time!
@maryjohnson32165 жыл бұрын
I made this today for a potluck dinner. My turkey breast weighed 4 pounds which was the largest the market had. I cooked it as your recipe indicated and put it into the oven (I have an Instant Pot) for about 10 minutes to brown. It rested once out of the oven for about 30 minutes before I carved it. It was so dry-not a bit of moisture in it. The only saving grace was the gravy, which was really tasty. Should the cooking time be adjusted for the size of the turkey breast? If 35 minutes is right for the higher weight, should the time be lower for a smaller one? Would this recipe work for turkey thighs and legs?
@EdH-v8f5 ай бұрын
Which would be better? Straining the gravy first or emulsify the vegetables? If emulsify veggies would it change the taste of the gravy? Could you make one for just one turkey breast ? Some are sold as one. Could you also brine the breast as you did the whole turkey? Thanks
