This was really good. I added green pepper and some other veggies. I also started with frozen chicken breast. So I pressure cooker by itself for 4 min., then cut in half, seasoned and browned. I also used instant brown rice (10 min rice). Pressure cooker for 5 and natural release for 5. Swiss and cheddar cheese. It was delicious.

I don’t have the ninja pressure cooker but I do have the ninja foodie grill and I’ve come to rely on your videos for help so thank you very much for your hard work and I will definitely figure out how to try this recipe because I love ranch dressing thank you again
@pressurecrisp4 жыл бұрын
Hmmmm... this got me thinking if this dish could. be made in the Grill. Of course the ranch dressing could be sprinkled on the chicken and it could be air crisped or grilled. Or the dressing could be mixed with some chicken stock and the chicken cooked in the stock in roasting pan. Its the rice that would have to be made on the stove top or rice cooker. This has me thinking-thank you! I appreciate you subbing and watching-I'm going to be putting out one Foodi and one Grill video per week-if I can do more I will. Banana bread coming out tomorrow for the Grill and coming soon spatchcocked chicken. Wish I. had someone to do all the editing and other stuff where I could just cook-lol. Thank you Deb!

I'm also not a fan of ranch but would try this with seasonings and spices I like. Maybe throw in some broccoli or asparagus at the end. I'm liking the one dish videos for something other than soup or spaghetti. Thanks.

Hi cattitude, I’m not a big fan of ranch either but this was tasty! Think I liked it better without the cheese. Yeah these meals are super quick and easy.

Soooooo... I didnt have any dry ranch packets, so I slightly modified the recipe... I had a can of whole black beans laying around, followed everything to the T, with the exception of the beans. And I have to say, holy freaking smokes, this is freaking amazing! Thank you Pressure Crisp for the idea here!

Hi Lisa..... which Ninja Foodi are you using? There are so many now that I can't quite tell LOL Love the recipe, but I'm not much of a ranch person, so I would omit that and add mushrooms. Love your channel and everything that you do... you're real and can cook real, not fancy smancy with tons of ingredients that most don't have in the pantry, which I totally love!
@pressurecrisp4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mudtramp0715! I'm. using the Foodi Deluxe however this recipe can be made in the. 6.5 or the 8 Qt. I'mnot much. of a Ranch person either-lol. I was shocked how tasty this was-still prefer blue cheese-lol. I should make you a mushroom risotto-real easy. I'm going ton play around with other seasoning packets as well. Yeah-I. can' get fancy but I think people purchased these appliances to make their cooking tasks quick and easy-especially when you work all day and have to come home and cook. dinner either for yourself or a family. Just too easy to pick that phone up and order take out. So by having easy and delicious recipes people will eat at home and save a bit of money. but this is just my personal take on it lol. Cuz whenever I bring the Foodi or Grill to someones house they always want wings, burgers, fries. and. the such-oh. and my famous calzones-lol Thanks Mudtramp0715!

Could one use thigh fillets for this recipe? As I live in the UK we have no ranch seasoning, what could I use as a substitute?
@brannanfrye35832 жыл бұрын
I ended up cooking it with too much chicken so I cooked another cup of rice in chicken broth instead of water in a rice cooker and I added it to the foodi with some extra ranch seasoning and cheese and I turned the foodi to saute med for just a few minutes and it turned out perfect.

I made this tonight. I’m kinda a “dump it”. So I sautéed the chicken like you said. I sautéed the Onions, garlic and celery. The. I cut up some baby red and orange peppers and some sugar snap peas. Left the onions on the bottom put the chicken on top of that, then put in the rice (wild rice mix) put all on. Egoism on top of that. Poured in Cup of chicken broth with about 1/4 cup of cream. Put it in my ninja and pressure cook for 14 min. Ohhhh my. Is it ever delish:!!,,,

I stumbled upon your video while looking for something to make using the ingredients I already have here bc I'm snowed in at the moment 🤷♀️ Anyway, I'm wondering about the rice. You didn't mention the texture of the rice. Does it get gummy, pasty or overcooked. There wasn't a good close up of the finished product. I think that might have helped. I hope it comes out well. I'm off to try it 🙂
@pressurecrisp4 жыл бұрын
The rice is overcooked-ummmm I don't mind it this way actually. prefer. my. rice over don and sticky. Snowed in huh-where are you located. Think Southern California just had a big storm. Stay safe. Thanks April!

Oh, Lisa what a wonderful meal idea this is but what is Ranch seasoning is it like stuffing, but not made into balls? I use "Uncle Benns Golden Vegetable Rice" that cooks in a microwave, could I use that in this recipe, you know sort of open the packet and dump it in? I love the way things go wrong with your cooking like the spoon falling in or you drop some of the grub on the floor, I sit over here in England laughing my head off some times Lisa. By the way, does Aunt Ruth have a Ninja Foodi? I know she doesn't have the Ninja Foodi Grill I just wondered if she has this. Did you make the opening titles to this with the Pressure Crisp cartoon thing it is very good?
@pressurecrisp4 жыл бұрын
Hi David! Easy peasy-lol. Ranch is a dry salad dressing mix but its used in so much more-dips, pasta, chicken and rice. Very popular here in the US. But tone honest I was never a huge fan Ranch dressing or Ranch anything-lol. But after this I'm goin to see what else I can make with this dressing packets. You could use Uncle Ben's but it would have to be regular rice-not the quick cooking rice-regular rice. I have never purchased Uncle Ben's microwave rice-next time I'm at the market. I will look at the box. Something always happens when I'm in the kitchen-lol. Adds to the video :) No Aunt Ruth wouldn't. be able to. use a Foodi but the Grill she could. She has a loss of range of motion in her shoulders. But I think she prefers the Grill. I'm going to get her a Grill and teach her how to use it-she's not like. my mother-my mom was a great. cook and baker but Aunt Ruth not. so. much-lol. Just don't tell her I said anything. No I'm not very. techie so Had someone make the opening for me. Thanks David!

What kind of knives do you use? I love how easily it is for you to cut through the chicken breasts!

I use MERCER knives-inexpensive but get the job done. Get yourself. a steel and use it every time before cutting with the knife and either purchase a good knife sharpener or do a search in your area and have your knives sharpened. Thanks Jeanne!

Someone posted a recipe on Facebook this morning for a lobster dish. Lobster, I thought. Maybe the store won’t mind if I shake it a few times in my pot before giving it back. The state of Maine passed a law prior to the Civil War declaring that inmates were not to be fed lobster more than three times a week. Cruelty; that’s right. I wonder how many times they are getting lobster now. They seem to have resolved that problem.

So I have no idea why you always use so much cheese at the end!?!? It's like almost any dish you make, you add tons of shredded cheese. Can you be at least a bit more innovative and health-conscious? It's alright to have cheese but not every single time; I'm sure you can do better than this.
@pressurecrisp4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the feedback. I did mention in the video that the cheese is optional as it tastes great without it. Thanks Ogi!
