Yes, and the subject matter is dark. Ninja Gaiden 1's soundtrack also gave me the willies for awhile (World 4-3, for example. This track sounded like a scarier version of the Twilight Zone theme). The opening notes to the scene with Foster also were extremely creepy.

Maybe it was a clean stab that missed all the vital organs. Plus Robert is a soldier in the USA 🇺🇸 Army and likely has been trained extensively as a combat medic and as such rendered the necessary first aid treatment.

when you get to 37:15 on jaquio's part, it isn't really the jaquio talking in the story line. its actually the demon (the final boss from the first ninja gaiden) talking through jaquio. jaquio was already long dead since from the first ninja gaiden. ashtar was merely the pawn. when he says "the spirit released after our battle flowed into my body" it means that the demon possesed jaquio's dead body. that's why the final boss is a full reincarnated demon just to show you.

It does sound valid. And even Demon has possessed Jaquio's body he can read all of his memories (included the memory of Ryu) that's why he said something like this "Fight Ryu Hayabusa, the last of your clan..." It means the Demon who possessed Jaquio knew that Ryu is the last descendent of his clan, and if you notice the Background of the last stage, you will see the small miniatures of demon statues (teal in color) and also the last two forms of Jaquio looks very similar to the statue of demon...

Nah, it still has cheap deaths, but the bounce back actually works to your favor 50% of the time in this game given how differently its programmed from the first game. Also, you don't have to go back to 7-1 if you fail at one of the final bosses. Not to mention the control's faster than in the first game.

I got all the way up to the first level of Jaquio. And died. I STILL fucking hate this game. I don't mean to sound racist, but I can see why the Japanese killed themselves so much back in the day. They literally created things that will make us want to kill ourselves. See what happens when you think too hard? I have been playing this game since my childhood, it's my most fav game in the entire NES world; it has very great BGM and the artwork of the cutscenes is really great. It is really cinematic! Brings back so many memories. I had this game as a kid and took me a long time to finally beat it, my friends all hovered around me holding their breath each try going through the last three boss fight. They finally exploded when I finally triumphed, after a few tries of course. Will never forget that moment. Just want to mention that the end credits track is one awesome tune, love it.

I love Ninja Gaiden 2 as well but honestly after years of playing this and watching the play through again, I have to say that Ninja Gaiden 1 had the best story. The story in part 2 isn’t written very well. You can tell they were just trying to cash in off the success of the first game. This one did well too but the first one was the best. Even the music is far better on the first game.

Love this game!!! Controls were super spot on! Music was phenomenal!!! Been finding myself humming along while watching. This was the first NES game that had characters in a story that made you feel loss. Robert dying actually made me tear up a bit, but made me that much more determined to defeat evil... Might have to make a run thru myself now!!!!

right on, well I'd say that the last level is harder on ng1 for me, more enemies on screen, while ng2 has trickier bosses and levels, but none seem to be as hard as the last level of ng1, plus ng2 controls better when it comes to the wall climbing making it easier for me

Yep so I beat NG 2. I thought it was pretty similar to NG 1 with regard to difficulty. It has fewer spawning enemies and the spirits following made things easier, especially on some bosses. It did have some trickier levels (the lights flashing, wind, etc...). It's a great game, one of the best on the NES IMO. I would love to get NG 3, it's just very expensive!

Best game of the nes trilogy. Ah fuck, they're all good but damn ninja gaiden 2 is just awesome. Used to throw fits over dying in this game by getting hit by vultures. Took me years to finally beat it, but when I did it was the best feeling in the world for a 12 year old kid in the early 90s.

For some reason, the NTSC versions of this game sound and the sprites look slightly better than the PAL version (which for some reason is called Shadow Warriors: ninja gaiden). Think I'm gonna get the NTSC versions and disable my PAL NES's region lock chip.

The music is so nostalgic, most of my fav nest games had it, but this one hit different, every stages and the music is on point. I played this game as a 7-11 yrs old, i still can remember all the scene, and drawing ryu hanging in the cliff scouting the altar, i mean back then there is no camera yet, no internet, and i manage to draw it perfectly, it took me a whole day, i means its just a pencil drawing, but i treasure it, but i didnt remember where did i put it😢.

Did anyone else think that defeating Jaquio a second time was a little repetitious? Why didn't they make it so that when an enemy is defeated, he or she stays dead? I think he was put into Ninja Gaiden 2 for the sake of gameplay only. Couldn't the makers of this game be more creative? Kelbeross also reappeared and the final boss was VERY similar to the demon in 6-5 of Ninja Gaiden 1.

I remember being a kid and passing Ninja Gaiden and I was the only kid in my entire school that did and no one believe me so I had to prove it and show all these peeps. Then 2 I got right when it came out and same thing. Didn't take me long to pass them though 2 is a bit more challenging than 1 and 3 is the most challenging for sure.

даа, в 7 лет проходить 2 часть было нереально сложно в отличии от 3. Я и мой дядя так и не осилили последнего босса, короткий меч усложнял всё в несколько раз, хп на все фазы не хватало, а пробовали довольно много раз. Этажи с птицами, самонаводящимися снарядами, прыгающие челы с кинжалами. 3 фазы босса, по ощущениям это проходили меньше 1%)
