Thanks for playing Ninja Gaiden Matt, also sorry that you played Ninja Gaiden Matt. I respect your persistance in the face of challenge & bulshit. I honestly thought you would hate this way more than you did (Yes I'm serious) so I'm happy you had an open mind to tackle the next level of action game and adapted very quickly to it to the point where you could mostly enjoy this game, wich doesn't always happen trust me. I hope to someday see you on the next game (or not, don't blame you ). Speaking of the next game: PLEASE prepare your mental for it cause the Master Collection NGS2 version is way worse than this game, and since I would like you to remain with us on this plane of existance for a very long time I would recommend that the moment you decide to play that game, go in knowing FULL WELL the extent of the massive bollocks you're gonna subject yourself to. I have faith you can do it, just be ready cause the hardest parts are a comedy and not the funny type, rather Unearthed 4 type. If that game doesn't put you in an insane asylum the third game and Hayashi's misguided design decisions sure will. If anyone here STILL wants to go for the Ninja Gaiden 1 platinum despite Matt's best warnings there's a detailed guide on his discord that may prevent you from strangling a kitten and at the very least help you enjoy the game more by explaining its systems to a much higher extent than the usual run of the mill guide so that you don't spend 90% of your time with it repeatedly hating its guts and actually feel the joy of learning this game at a high level. @@GawdlikeMattwell if you can get the 360 version of NG2 (it’s backwards compatible on series) I’d love to see you handle THAT CHAOS. Both versions of NG2 are quite different, a lot of people hate Sigma 2 (Less enemies, no gore, changed item locations BUT new boss fights (shoutout mah boi flame-a-dillo), missions, and weapons) but it’s definitely more accessible for everyone. But vanilla NG2 is like fighting god. That being said, play wtf u want! But there are HUGE differences for each version of NG2 that can absolutely effect your experience, so it depends on what you want! Love seeing people excited about NG! You’re doing great in your journey…Master Ninja!

I literally have this platinum! I went through hell and back for this platinum. There was many times where I wanted to give up but I didn’t. It was the ultimate test of skill, patience and determination. I’m working on Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2.

I finished this Platinum on PS Vita about 10-12 years ago. It was in 30 fps and that one trial with Rachel and 2 bosses almost broke me. It's not something that a man should do to himself.

At the top of the tower, there's actually a shortcut back to the shop in Tairon. Just go through the door where you pick up the key to the tower, go down the stairs and straight ahead through the door. It's much easier to get to.

Decided to be a madman and I did YAIBA on… streaming… yeah PS PLUS streaming. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Nightmare difficulty was manageable but HELL (1 hit kills) was a joke - button inputs, frame rate drops, etc. I think I may be one of the first to do it streaming lol. Got it as my plat 99. Doing SIGMA now but I did it originally when I came out on PS3

My god, This was amazing. Showing us the pain of trying to get the levels completed and trophies was mind blowing and jaw dropping. The way you were succeeding it and getting through it was just unimaginable that you were breaking through. I congrats and appluad to you as you have succeeded all yhe way. This was also so funny and amazing in the live stream. But it was very painful and sad . It was so hard to watch you in anger and nothing but.more pain . Every mission was brutall but seeing you made it through and did it was like seeing the angel rise from the nightmare through the hell workd. You did it mathew congrats on getting the platinum. Sigma is my favorite version of NG1 I’m glad to see some content for it. If you can though get an old 360 for ninja gaiden 2 because while I do love sigma 2 as well it’s going to be easy for you if you played this first it’s a censored slightly easier version of ninja gaiden 2. Sigma 1 though is basically black with extra content and better graphics.

I played this game when I was 7 years old my older brother set it up for me so I didn't know that he put it on hard so I was struggling at first but eventually I got the hang of it and finished it all which shocked my brothers and my dad who all had an extremely hard time playing it and I only used 2 of the weapons because I was more confident with them but it's cool to see you play this game I know that if I were play it on hard now I would have loss patience

I'm on my Ninja Gaiden Platinum Run myself lol. I'm doing the Ninja Trials first. I have everything story related unlocked so far, so that I only need the Master Ninja Rank on Master Ninja Difficulty Playthrough. But my problem is that the Ninja Trials are absolutely boring... Y>es they are hard at times but to play each of them 4 times it was bores me. But after seeing you push through I am motivated again, thank you for that.
