I believe the man is very biased to the ninja spin dryer . . He didn't use two separate pans for each to catch water separately . . I could clearly see the panda spin dryer spinning out more water from the wet clothes . . I've had my panda spin dryer for over 6 years and it's still working great!!! .
@grayrabbit2211 Жыл бұрын
I noticed that as well. If both truly have the same spin speed and drum size, the amount of water extracted should be the same. The wildcard is how much torque each motor has. Greater torque would mean more water sooner. Just like with a car, if two cars go 60 mph to get to a destination, the distance (amount of water extracted) will be the same. A Lambo (more torque) will be able to do 0-60 faster than an entry-level KIA (lower torque), but the time it took should be pretty darn close since both drums are the same diameter and supposedly spin at the same RPM>

I agree that he is biased, but I also believe he is correct on every issue. I have used the ninja for 4 years A LOT & would get another one if mine were to go out. Would you get another panda or try a ninja if yours goes out?
@georgewaters8592 Жыл бұрын
I recently purchased but the Ninja and Panda machines, which is a story in itself !! I've used my Ninja 4x so far and am very very happy with the results, as the amount of water removed is biblical !! It is definitely important to use an adaquate size pan, otherwise you are going to be in complete panic mode once the water starts pouring out while still holding the machine until it fully stabilizes which can take a good 30 to 45 seconds. For a pan, I'm using a small car litter plastic pan, I think made by Paws. It works out great, no worry of having any kind of water overflow issues. Operating the Ninja is real easy and while some have requested a timer, I'm not really on board with that, as I tend to sit next to the machine, hold it steady, and just keep an eye on things till the water stops running out, or perhaps I should say slows down, then I just shut the machine off per the instructions and all is goods. I am amazed at how dry the clothes come out once run though this machine, and how clean they are - of everything. So, it certainly does what it is supposed to do - but keep in mind that you have to load it very carefully so it will run properly, and as time goes on I am noticing that it needs to be loaded in a manner where everything is a flat as possible and packed tight to reduce the chance of something being off balance by not being centered. As for the Panda, the construction is very impressive, I got mine as a refurb on Ebay, and just had a chance to use it this morning. Operation is essentially the same with the exception of the button which needs to be depressed to open the lid. I have to say - the Panda is a super stable machine, probably due to it's simple design of being basically just a cylinder - as opposed to the Ninja which has the notch in it where the drain pan goes, but then again - and here is where the edit in my review is made - I've used my Ninja several times now and have not had any out of balance issues whatsoever, the trick is compressing all the items to be spun dry as far down and as tight as possible. Yes, the Panda is louder - but not that much louder. I have no idea what the reviewer here is hearing, because mine sounds nothing like that.. Either way, both are supurb machines, and the real review from me will come in about 3 years, as longevity is something which is ultra important to me, perhaps more than anything else.

An 'unbiased' side-by-side comparison by The Laundry Alternative, which makes the Ninja. LoL! 😂
@grayrabbit2211 Жыл бұрын
So far, it's the only side-by-side video on KZbin. Agreed that he might be biased, but I'd say it was a reasonable review. He did (gently) acknowledge that the Ninja has a less powerful motor, and we saw this with the Panda putting out water first, but with both having the same spin speed it should be about the same amount of water extracted at the end.

I bought the Panda spin dryer November 20, 2017 from Amazon. On June 24, 2022, the suspension “came loose” (I can see a screw rolling around through the bottom cover) while it was starting up. Thankfully that failure didn’t happen when it was at full speed or the results might have been disastrous. I just ordered the Ninja spin dryer from Amazon in the “honey” lid color (blue is sold out). I am looking forward to receiving it soon and testing it out in my cramped laundry room. I plan to take the Panda unit apart to see what failed and if it can be fixed. I definitely prefer the look of the Panda. Mine has a shiny polished finish on the outside opposed to the satin finish shown in this video comparison. The Ninja reminds me of a diaper pail.

Also, if you put a rag or towel under the front of the panda dryer under the bowl it stops it from moving and I've never experienced clothes coming out so dry after spinning in the panda . . I always push the wet clothes down before spinning so it moves less when getting started and it helps greatly . . I would never trade it in for a ninja even if it was free

The Panda's design actually originates to German Thomas spin dryers... except Thomas spin dryers have no PCB's in them at all that stop them after 5 minutes so they are also not electronic. Panda somehow added extra complications to their spin dryer as the original Thomas version has no extra button underneath the lever to open or close it, just grab the handle and bam it's open! It does spin at 400rpm less though as the original Thomas version is European. White Knight also sold Thomas spin dryers as model 28008T's. European spin dryers normally spin at 2800RPM unless if they are plastic and from OneConcept, those will spin at 1400RPM. I have a White Knight 28009W(an argentinian Koh-I-Noor spin dryer sold by White Knight in Britain), also entirely mechanical with no PCB in it at all so it will literally last forever pretty much. It is stainless steel too though but that adds positively to it's build quality even though while it is a little noisy lol, I don't mind at all!

The very wet clothes (even after spinning) wouldn't dry in my small Panda dryer. I had to line dry them til almost dry, then finish in the Panda to fully dry & fluff. Ok in the summer but winter is coming. Hence I got the Ninja. Wash, spin almost dry, electric dryer finishes my task quickly now. I highly recommend the Ninja.

Bet the Ninja has a wider foot base, thus adding more stabilty at the bottom during operation. An improvement for sure. Greater efficiency is achieved with less movement and knocking around of the equipment. He's telling the truth about the better performance of the Ninja. The problem with the Panda is it is too unstable. Further spaced feet would fix that wobble. It would be easy to make mods for that. (For those who like to do that!)

I'd prefer the Laundry Alternative to just use a simple timer... a 555 timer costs less than a dollar. Anyway, the Mega dryers that I'm familiar with had major brake issues. It looks like the Panda has a few good ideas that would help -- like not always using the brake. I'm considering updating one of my Mega dryers which still has the bad brake. I've had these Mega dryers open several times to work on the parts... not spectacular. But I still may get a Ninja and see if there is an improvement. The Nija has a much faster spin rate (3200 versus 1600 for the Mega) so I am thinking there will be a faster dry time. As it is now, the operators tend to walk away, so it's disingenuous to say that people attend to them.

@@ctournet Ok, after having to use both units for past 2 months+, I know you are clearly either a paid shill or one of those HURR CHINESE STUFF BAD racist just out to smear. I listened to you at first to get the ninja spinner for my swimming stuff, that shit-piece was BAD in every way possible: 1) almost the entire thing is made with cheap plastic parts so the entire machine got so much gives, 2) the bottom platform is actually smaller than the top so a lot of stable issue because it toppled over a few times, 3) no matter how little cloths that you put in, IT WILL WOBBLE. So during the 2 weeks of it being functional, it toppled over and spill water all over the floor a few times, and on the last time that it topple over, the entire top plastic body broke/ripped open and turned into a cloths canon; it literally destroyed itself. Therefore I returned it to the pool hardware place that I got it from and got the panda spinner to try. To my surprise, the panda spinner is EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT YOU RAGGED ABOUT. Firstly, it is built with mostly metal parts, so yes it's heavier than the shit-piece ninja spinner BECAUSE IT IS DURABLE LIKE A TANK. the base was well designed to handle the wobbles and won't topple at the slightest movement during the spin because the legs are actually formed a wider base than the top. Sound wise, the panda sound about the same as the ninja PROVING MY ARGUMENT IN THE FIRST PLACE. Moreover, I looked into your complain of the panda cylinder having sharp edges, maybe they changed the design of the cylinder but it's completely ROLLED like the ninja spinner cylinder. Respect your audience and their valuable time. Come on, I see car reviews that are shorter than this. Keep it concise.

We do respect our audience. It takes a lot of time to shoot these videos, short ones are much easier to do. People generally like either short 1-2 minute videos, or much longer, in depth ones. For this product, yes we owe you a shorter video too.

Nothing stopping you from doing your own video, Dieter.

@@ctournet I think the Audience, meaning me, was dutifully respected with a complete and thorough review of many aspects of these devices that I would not consider not owning one myself. Concise is not always better. My Time was very well spent in understanding both of these devices and even though I had already made the purchase of the Ninja before seeing this, I now know better what to expect out of the device when it arrives. I am grateful and not insulted in the least at the time spent . I have passed over many shorter videos, and I'm sure they have something to offer, but I'll bet this video will have covered anything they have to say, so I spend let time searching through multiple vids just to get the same less detailed information. Cheers.

Infomercial for Ninja, very biased review. Not a review at all, a hit piece on Panda. Buy the Panda. Better more heavy duty.

Ok the short version it's quiet and lasts for many years. We make an attempt to show people details/proof rather than just saying "We have the best!" marketing hype.

@@BarHawa Yes he’s to explain. He being biased against the other product. This is not an honest review. We need a review by someone who’s impartial
