Plastic piece (protector disk) inside goes on top of laundry. If the motor locking part didn't come out when unpacking, make sure to remove that.
Too early for a true review...stay tuned. Good first impression, though. Hoping this will save some on electricity/time in dryer or hang drying.
2nd day update... actually measured the water removed by the spinner from a full load in our Maytag top load washer...2 LITERS!! Pretty amazing. stuff comes out of dryer in about ten minutes now...dry.

For those who just unboxed theirs and are trying to figure out how to open up top like I struggled with, make sure the lever is pulled back towards you in the power off position and then push the metal button in. It’s located above drain spout and beneath the operating lever. You’ll hear a small click sound to let you know the top has been unlocked and then you can just pull the top up and load your clothing.

I have to hold mine down at start and stop...if the load is out of balance it gets worse. You shouldn't have to tilt it to get it to drain. I tilt mine to get as much out as I can when I'm done.
