I reAlly love Karai's one line, "you've lied to yourself so much you've come to believe an entire dream." I feel like that's the perfect description of this version of the shredder. Even though he clearly saw himself kill Shen, even though he clearly knows he's responsible for Karai becoming a snake, his lies and vendettas have caused him to believe Splinter is the cause of everything wrong in his life.

Wow, I can't believe they're actually doing this story now. For the people who are confused at what i'm talking about, in the Mirage turtles version, there is a storyline in which Splinter is stuck at the bottom of a well with two broken legs and the Rat King's spirit helps him survive by telling him to eat rats 'n shit. Please tell me that i'm not the only one who's ever heard of this story, I don't want to be the only one who gets the reference.

this was exactly what tmnt needed after a long hiatus again. this episode was EXCELLENT. Without question the best episode of season 4, and perhaps the best stand alone episode in the entire series. The train fight was incredible, and Leo had one of the best lines of the series. Donny: "Leo, what do we do?" Leo: "We ram him, OBVIOUSLY." hahaha. Also, I love how they are making Tigerclaw and Karai such rivals, which also makes Leo's relationship with Karai stronger and his grudge with Tigerclaw more intense. And finally, we got to see Donnie utilize his Natinaga.

here is a weird thing i have noticed. karai does not take on snake form for very long in the slightest. it is only for a few seconds, if that. she is incredibly powerful in her snake form. swift, strong, toxic, and vicious. maybe that is why she keeps on losing so often, she is trying to hold back that form for one reason or another? be interesting if it turns out that those brain worms were doing more than keeping her under control. also holy shit, that shredder form. its all the horror i could ever imagine. you would need the mutanimals and at least two triceratons to deal with that guy. and i thin this episodes explains something. he has lied to himself so much that to him the lie is reality. mutagen is just making his delusions worse. and i have a very, very fucking bad feeling that this is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to super shredder. i am expecting something even more horrific before all is said and done.

It's weird that this TMNT cartoon shared the same channel network with cartoons like Spongebob Squarepants laughing, hanging out with Patrick, and cooking Krabby Patties, or a light hearted slice of life stories from Harvey Beaks. But somehow on the channel, I believe in 9am or 10am in the morning, we got hard core emotional drama and epic fight scenes from Ninja Turtles. Damn Nickelodeon. You really made some mood swings with seriousness and hardcore materials with Ninja Turtles and then suddenly switched to funny wacky times with Spongebob Squarepants.

This episode was heavy and intense as fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. So much so, that I had to go check whether this was gonna be the last season of Turtles (it's not). But in doing so, I read the title of the season finale, "Owari" ("End" in moonspeak)... and that just puts me on edge! What does Turtles have in store for us in the last few episodes? What should we expect of next season?

I don't know how I felt about this episode. This is the 3rd time Splinter supposedly died. I do like how Shredder has convinced himself that Splinter killed Tang Shen. It makes his character more complex.

Also, I can't help but feel Super Shredder is going to survive the fall somehow, I mean, we saw how resilient he was, everyone kicked him, punched him, Shinigami sliced him, but no visible damage whatsoever. That tells me he may have the durability to withstand a massive drop, and besides that, Kraang Subprime keeps inexplicably coming back after being crushed and caught in explosions. Speaking of Shinny, anyone else hoping she was okay after being knocked unconscious?

I just HAVE to mention the few tiny things about the cartoon episode they were watching, as two little details made me chuckle. The first was the fact that the villain cartoon Bradford was fighting was using one of the old sewer lid launcher toys as a weapon; that really tickled me. The second was when they showed the two characters fighting, how their movements and stances looked exactly like action figures, as quite a few old shows tended to do. Don't know how much anyone aside from me cares about these little things, but I had to mention them.

I loved all the references to past episodes. Like the under city you mentioned where Splinter fought the Rat King. There was also the area where brainwormed Karai held them captive. Also, it's pretty obvious that nick is making Karai the 80s April with how she always gets in trouble and the turtle have to rescue her. April here, with her powers, can take care of herself a lot better so the role of damsel in distress goes to Karai. Why is all I ask?

Watching this episode and then I think back to the episode "Vengence Is Mine" when we learn how Shredder (Saki back then) was raised by the Hamato Clan at very young age after the Foot Clan was defeated by them. Then I wonder, "Why would you want revenge on the clan that raised you, despite knowing your heritage to the enemy clan? Especially when Saki was really small and could have easily been killed by the Hamato clan, but instead they chose to take him in." But that's just me. Anyway, I can't wait for the next episode :)

Jonathan Teter at least one of the combatants (I think Karai) hit Shredder right in the heart and it was no different than running a regular ol' steak knife down a wall. So yeah, the writers covered that base already.

I seriously don't think he's gone. I bet they're trying to throw in a bit of a nod to the 2003 series when Splinter was missing and 'presumed dead' but they eventually found him in the care of the Utroms. Now I doubt that's gonna be exactly how it happens since they've already encountered the Utroms of this series, but there's gonna be someway. They tried the scare of killing Splinter last season. It just seems way too soon for them to ACTUALLY kill him off if they're going for that.

Ahhhhhhh, Andre. Don't think I didn't notice that other clip you shared. The one that in a split second, Super Shredder grabs a fallen Leo as humans run away. That did not appear in this episode, which to me, can confirm that Super Shredder will indeed survive the fall. This could also mean the turtles are going to be revealed to the public. But for sure, unless that is development footage, this proves that there's going to be another battle. A real battle between the turtles and the Super Shredder, where the turtles are not being distracted by Super Shredder's goons.

Ha ha, it's fine, it's just when I was a kid, I remember that the more "funny/young" cartoons would air early and the more action-packed cartoons would air later. It's fine.

I remember that too. In the morning, my siblings and I would be watching Rugrats and Rocko's Modern Life. In the evening, we were watching Are You Afraid of the Dark? XD
