See this: Three elements were not taken by chen. Those were: Water Time Air These were not required because these were inactive elements. 1- Firstly water: Nya was going to be the only water elemental master but she had not unlocked her hidden potential at that time. 2- Secondly time: Crux and acronix had their elemental powers absored into the time blades which were going through a time vortex and not present at that time 3- Thirdly air: Morro was dead at that time. Result: These elements were not present in the realm if you want ot put it in simpler terms.

I always explained it by the fact he was turned into a ghost, not died and became a ghost. Therefore, he wasn’t quite dead, but not quite alive either, meaning he had some ghost qualities and some human ones, hence being able to give off a heat signature Or Ronin could have just been lying and it was actually something completely different, expecting Cole to stop and think about it to give him an easier shot. That seems like something he would do. I spend way too much time trying to come up with actual lore explanations to plot holes and inconsistencies lmao
