I remember beating this as a kid and feeling like I could beat anything. Man this game was so hard in the 80’s without walkthroughs. Thanks for the nostalgic moment man.

It definitely hit the right spot for me back in 1989 when I got it for Xmas (I actually rented and beat it on Xmas morning at 6am, but my grandma didn't know that, lol. Still greatly enjoyed the gift), but was humming Blaster Master and Super Mario 2 tunes more at school/home.

One of my fondest memories from this game is that last bit when you jump and got that hangtime and at the exact perfect moment you blow up Hitler's head with a bazooka! When I finally beat this game I got it exactly the way you did on my first try and went ballistic. Man I miss my old NES and all these games.

This game was pretty tough back in the 80's. I managed to finally beat this game after months of playing it. Mind you we didn't have walkthroughs or access to how to play the game. I think we had one book that would tell us some things about games and how to get past some of the more tricky parts. You are like a freaking KING of video games. I am impressed.

I thought I hadn’t beaten this game because I only remember getting stuck in a spot where I had to reset the game. But now that I’ve seen it all the way through I totally remember beating this game. Thanks for the memory! Well played by the way. When I beat it I had to save up a bunch of health points way early on and got as many continues as I could. I was probably 10-12 at the time. Maybe I didn’t have to reset. Lol

Just a pair of FYIs to save a few seconds: You don't have to touch the communicators to get them. You can collect them with the claw. Also, if you wiggle the D-pad just right, you can access the ambush between areas 14 and 17 without talking to the prisoner

I've been watching for some time but wanted to say you deserve much more recognition. I do a lot of speed killing in destiny 2 and teach others how-to do the same so I know the days and months and years of dedication to own the art and I respect that you have the same passion. D2 reminds me of a first person mega man with insane builds that has depth many dont realize (how weapons and perks can carve better strats), so that's what hooked me into modern gaming.

That very first door you go into on level one for communications, leave that room and immediately head right. You'll drop down onto that enemies head, and bounce off and fly right, like as if you stepped onto one of the game's jumping springs. Use the arm to clunk onto that post and long swing all the way over to that 2nd door.... *save yourself a huge chunk of seconds* for that first time clunk.

I can still remember that feeling of popping Hitler’s dome after missing a couple times. And then the brief horror of trying to escape a base that’s about to explod. Why was Robocop standing in the way? Just one of the many reasons people my age fear and distrust cyborgs.

Junko Tamiya composed music for a lot of early Capcom games including B.C. and Gun.Smoke. All the military style drum cadences she used were a dead giveaway. Some of my favorite songs were from games that she composed. Truly a genius. She even did the Strider(arcade) and Little Nemo(NES) soundtracks!
