I'm glad to see someone watching this that understands what it's like playing an MMO, especially with your talk about people leaving. I've been there in WoW too, and it really puts a depressing undertone to the whole story. Not many anime or manga really tackle this concept, especially not shoenen. On another note: yes there's a lot of "REALLY?!" moments in the show, but if you think about it that's the most realistic thing about that show. All of the main cast come from an MMO and are totally things some nerd would do given the option to. They're tropes because everyone inevitably makes tropes. Literally an anime about a no lifer virgin who just plays mmos, can't get more trope than that

It's definitely something we can relate to; we've all played with ourselves and tried to relive the good times but it's just not the same. Very valid, imagine the geekdom if we were stuck within WoW and suddenly interacting with characters we know so well?

Fun fact about Nazarick. The guild of Ainz Ooal Gown was a dedicated pvp guild and they earned the ire of a lot of other guilds. Several different guilds joined forces, alongside all the NPC's they created, to storm Nazarick and attack just the one guild. Taking into account both players and NPC's, it numbered around 1,500 versus Nazarick's 41 members, their traps and their NPC's. The raid got to the 8th floor before it was wiped out. They never made it to the 9th and final floor.

@@NinjaKumaReacts Me too one time in a certain game I forgot the name of we were all just lazing around when we get ambushed by not 1 not 2 but 5 different clans (we were all moving the clan spot from one area to another to evade a certain other clan and boss room) and so when everyone was done screaming to each other we all just charged at each other and fought (Clans are usually about 10-20 people big) and so I bring my people out of the fight and notice we lost about 2 guys and then we waited for both the 5 clans to stop fighting and for the ones who won and for the 2 guys that died. Once the 5 were done killing each other there were only like 2-3 of them still actually there while we had already gotten the 2 fallen guys and then beat the remaining... By the time the 5 clans came back we were gone and could successfully say "I survived an ambush from 5 strong clans" Oh where the time has gone for everyone to have gone and the game to be lost to time

My biggest MMO moment was the RuneScape 6/6/06 Falador Massacre. I was 12, in the bank, reading forum sites on how to not be broke, i look back to the game and there's PvP in the streets, words I had never heard before. It was chaos. I'm really glad you've experienced that feeling first hands of your friends in a game vanishing and leaving you alone. Having that experience makes Overlord much more enjoyable, as that exact sensation is possibly THE most important aspect of Momonga's character. Not even just that, you being a WoW fan will make these reactions so good. Overlord and Log Horizon are series that are MUCH better when you have MMO experience first hand, specially Log Horizon actually.

It's why using google voice can be annoying for those who have those accents (And a good reason as to why voice assistants tend to mishear lots of things.)

Kuma, have you heard of the funimation parody called "Isekai Quartet"? It's a short crossover series of 4 Isekai animes that attend a high school environment to get back to their work. The 4 animes consist of: * Overlord * Konosuba * RE:ZERO * Tanya the Evil I know that you've seen Overlord and Tanya the Evil. So if you react to RE:ZERO and Konosuba. You will be up to enjoy this series. It has 11 minutes per episode. But the interactions are hilarious. 5 stars there is an english dub. So please keep this in mind.

I literally don't understand how people judge whether a dub is good or not. I've seen some people say the code glass dub was awful, and I'm over here just enjoying the show. I've lost the ability to trust other peoples judgment of English dubs.

I object to the statement that some anime need to be watched subbed(unless there is no dub). Almost every anime I've watched has a good dub. Most people watch anime as soon as it comes out so they see it subbed, and when the dub comes out they don't like it because they don't like that the voices are different. Exceptions to that would be anime like Fullmetal Alchemist where the dub is so unquestionably good that everyone acknowledges it(Though I have seen some people who said they hated it). Other reasons people say it's better subbed is because of memes, like a character attempting to speak English that is a bit weird in the dub. An example of that is Steins;Gate where people's only reasoning for the sub being better is the scene where he tried to speak English, but that is just a single scene the dub for Steins;Gate is one of the best. Another objection people have to dubs is that in older anime like Detective Conan/Case Closed and the original Shaman King series a few character names were changed, but the voice acting in the dub was very good and name changes do not affect the quality of voice acting.

Yeah I agree, I see no problem with watching the dub if theres a perfectly good one available, I'll only really watch the sub over dub if the dub is just really bad, but that's only happened once for me so far

@@catman8770 The only dub I didn't like was one of the dubs for Cardcaptor Sakura. Both dubs for that anime could be considered terrible, but for different reasons. One had terrible voice acting, the other had good voice acting, but censored stuff and cut out half the episodes.

​@@NinjaKumaReacts its okay man, maybe dub is just not for me Im better watching without audio than dub because in most reaction (without audio) you can match the timing, so you can watch the reaction with the original animation in the background, plus you can save time from editing and stuff. But again its your channel man, if you comfortable with what you doing then just keep going. This is just my preference
