There's a lot of lore that isn't covered in the anime for this series. Here's the shortened version. In the time he was in the real world, people were worked to death by the corporations. In some cases people would literally drop dead from overwork and exhaustion on their way to/from the subways to get to their offices. The scale of death was so bad that people would just step over the bodies. It didn't even register as a need to call for emergency services due to how common it was. There was such heavy pollution that at night they could almost never see a single star in the sky. Because of the troubles with the environment, starvation was rampant. As a result, if someone died, one of the many unemployed would soon have a job and food to eat, so no one really asked questions. They just accepted that this was normal. When he says he didn't have any friends or family, it was because they were all dead. He literally had nothing left to live for except the game and his guild, which had all but disbanded. There were 41 players that were in the guild and the only one other than Momonga to log in on the last day was Herohero. This hints that the rest had either died from overwork/exhaustion, or were unemployed and to eat had to sell their dive capsules.

Iirc Bellriver (a Gibbering Mouther Spellknight) is the only one confirmed to be dead. Though I don’t think it has ever been stated how he died and if there was foul play involved. Onto the others, Herohero (who we see this episode) was obviously suffering from overwork. So it’s acceptable to assume that the rest were as well. As for being unemployed. Every member of the guild was required to have a job, but considering the dystopia Momonga/Ainz/Bone Daddy comes from its fair to assume that some got laid off.

You forgot that the air on earth became so toxic that you either had to get artificial lung transplants just to breath the toxic air, for which you had to take out a massive loan for, or wear hazmat gear just to step outside. And the wealthy lived in massive glass domes called "Ecology domes" that frequently went to war with one another over resources using the poor people outside the domes as conscripted cannon fodder.

you're speculating a bit much. Overworked, yes but not to death. It's just an MMO that reached the end of its life and most of the "supreme beings' just quit to work more, start families, or got bored. Only 1 died

thank you so much for reacting to OVERLORD! By the way just in case you are confused, the main character isn't trapped in the game world. The protagonist and his guild base got transported to another very much real world irrelevant to the game. It can be confusing sometimes and people can think that the main character is inside a game or stuck in a game, but he got sent to an actual fantasy medieval world

7:20 the reason why albedo trembles is cos ains forgot to remove his passive aura of despair skill which shocks and does a little damage to albedo much like a electrical shock this isnt shown in the anime

Albedo is my 3rd favourite Waifu out of any anime I've seen. Here name comes her creator, Lord Tubula, who was a fan of both horror movies, and alchemy. The Dark Elf Twins were created by Lady BucaBuca Chagama. Apparently, she wanted them to be unique. So she turned them into crossdressers. So Aura is a girl but dresses like a boy, and her brother Marae is vice versa.

Finally! Been waiting ever since you did the Overlord openings, one thing to note Overlord will sometimes have after credit scenes that usually will drop an important fact or action which will influence the activity of some of the characters, Season 1 Episode 4 and 9 have those after credit scenes. I think Overlord is one of the best examples of the Isekai genre.

I'm glad you're reacting to Overlord, it's an anime I've enjoyed for years. Personally I prefer the books over the anime though. You look like a sweet young girl so I will warn you now. Overlord has great storytelling and it's really fun to watch but it's essentially about how evil triumphs over all. The real scary part is you're going to root for the bad guy. You will also learn that good and evil are determined by point of view. I look forward to your future reactions.

You're watching Overlord. You sweet summer child. Some things to remember: Pay attention to character interactions and character development...particularly Shalltear and Albedo. It pays to keep notes, because the lore is heavy. Brace yourself, as this is a heavy series, with a lot of uncomfortable concepts. It only becomes more intense as you get to later seasons. Frieren is the better series, but Overlord is a wild journey that has to be taken at some point. -AXlXsXoX,XfXuXcXkXRXeXnXnXeXrX. Minus the X's. That is all.-

The Isekai genre is usually about a someone being transported/summoned to a different world. Which is usually a fantasy/medieval world that functions like a video game, with a possible harem plot thrown in. The earliest anime that I can this I of that pioneered the whole inside of a video game plotline is Sword Art Online. Which was a diverse among fans. But gave way to the idea of being in fantasy world for anime. Like: • Overlord • BOFURI: I don't want to get hurt, so I will max out my defence. • The Rising of The Shield Hero • E.C.T (Other well known Isekai animes)

I wouldn't consider SAO and BOFURI (especially) as isekai. In SAO, they're trapped in a video game, their real bodies are still in their world. BOFURI didn't even trapped the players in the video game, the story just mainly focus on the video game world.
