You have a lot more control when using a handfile instead of cutting with a scissors. When you cut, you run the risk of ruining your lower arch and loose that line.

Hey Diva 👋 HAY, been a while. Went into some depression n wasn't watching youtube but I'm having an issue I need help with. I was swatching some acrylic cokors and the 1st 10 went well but the last 3 came out almost chalky as if I was trying to use solid chalk lol. So I went back 2 try the 1st few and got the same chalky result so it must not have been the polymer right. But I was using my normal brush and normal monomer?!?!?! SO cleaned my brush n cleaned my monomer dish got clean monomer and used my clean brush, tried a BRAND NEW brush n now Im having those same issues with EVERYTHING I TRY NOW??!?!! WAT THE HECK AM I DOING WRONG?!?!?! Ive been doin nails over 20 years n NEVER had this issue?!?!?! I clean my brush with monomet so if it doesn't clean it right away. Then I put the brush in my brush cleaner container but I add monomer 2 soak it in n it seems 2b clean but still having issues. It never turned to that wet looking bead that goes smooth and then matte wrn its drying lol?!?!

You should always dehydrate and prime. I think that part was omitted in the video but she did say she prepped her nails.

I am not good w shaping, is it possible to cut the nails from the bottom? the reason I ask is that the entire tip has the curve integrity, and since we file the tip to blend, does it matter that it was cut from the bottom if we don't care abt attaching them near the cuticle. Thank you
