@@serenarathore7093 You NEVER want to leave air bubbles between your natural nail and the tip. Let’s say you planned on leaving it on for your event. When your weekend is over you look, and if you’ve done them right, you 99/100 times decide to leave them on longer than you planned! Let’s face it, especially when you’re not doing nails all the time, when they look pretty, you FEEL pretty! So if even a minuscule amount of that air bubble, now you’ve showered, washed your hands, rinsed dishes, etc. now you have all you need for FUNGUS🦠!! On the third nail she also doesn’t brush the tip clean of the dust she just created with the drill. This too will create air bubbles even if they’re smaller. Same result and with polish on them you don’t see that your nail bed is turning more and more green every day! PLEASE DON’T LEAVE ANY ROOM BETWEEN YOUR NAILBED AND ANY TIP FOR ANY TIME, for any reason! A tip I’ll also give you I saw along the way, is to heat the little glue tabs that look so easy on her 1st nail. They are not. They gump up and tangle and you can’t evenly cover the bed. The best tip I can give you is to watch MANY videos if you dont have a license. Here as well as (here’s the tip!) on Amazon! Search for your product and watch the videos on THEIR explanation and you’ll be amazed at what they’ll tell you!! That’s where I saw the video to use a little heat to put the stickers on your nail bed and they also say to THEN use a bit of glue on the nail tip to stick the layers together but I have never heard or used a bigger sized tip just bcuz you’re using the glue stickers. Try this all out for yourself, by all means, to see what works best for you. Maybe if you are working on a nail between sizes of tip, but by looking at her own nails and the first two of three examples, id think 2/3 look like they already need a fill!! I’d be really upset if my entire set looked that way, not to mention it’s far more likely if you have the full sized tip further off the cuticle, or with air bubbles, you’ll have pop offs as well as gross FUNGUS🦠 when you take the polish off. Even a soft French can be growing fungus under when you can’t see it! DONT RISK IT! As someone who got fungus from a salon, it’s VERY difficult to get rid of as well, it can be very $expensive$!!! to have your dr right a Rx to get rid of it and the Dr will need blood work bcuz the stuff it takes to get rid of what all started with an air bubble that could have been fixed immediately, fungus can even permanently damage your nails. So her ‘for beginners’ video was disappointing when we should know beginners may not know the dangers those of us with a nail license know already, please get as much info as you can to be safe! Be careful and enjoy! ❤

I know it’s not the norm, but I just applied mine the other day with acrylic. It worked really well. When I use fiber gel I have a tendency to get them crooked, and once it’s cured, too bad. With the acrylic, I had a chance to straighten them out before it dried.

I have done it on myself and my daughters and they last a couple of weeks or more and you can even fill them in if you want. Like someone stated above, I like that you have time to play with the nail and make sure it’s straight before it sets.

Yes you definitely can. As long as you are prepping the natural nail and the tip correctly, i don’t see why it wouldn’t last just as long as applying with the fiber gel and then you can also fill it.

Hi! I'm trying to teach myself how to do gel nails at home that will last me and have some length. I've been looking into how to use builders gel and I was wondering if you guys would be doing any tutorials on how to use builder gel to adhere tips on?😊
@youngnailsinc4 ай бұрын
What products are you using? Some companies refer to builder gel as a thicker soft gel (can be soaked off) and others as a hard gel that you can build length with similar to acrylic. If you are referring to using gel to adhere tips, we show that in this video.
@lillymccauley86314 ай бұрын
@@youngnailsinc Sorry for the delayed response, I haven't actually bought any products yet. I've been surfing the internet on what techniques I could practice before I go buy the tools. When I watched this video before, I mistakenly called the medium that I want to learn builders gel. When what I want is a solid glue gel. I had my nails done awhile back by a nail tech who used a solid glue gel which I mistook for hard gel/soft builders gel. My understanding now is that I need to see examples of how to adhere full-cover soft gel tips to the natural nails with solid glue gel. So if you have any pointers on that, I'd really appreciate it! (Sorry for taking you on this rollercoaster.😅)

Help!? Anyone who knows!? Is it okay to use tips that say Gel X on them with the sticky tabs? It also says press on. I don't have a light and I don't want them to last long. Most importantly is to not damage my nails underneath. Any suggestions for very narrow nail beds with a very strong/tight C curve would be greatly appreciated! This video was excellent! I searched for days for a video that showed exactly this!! I subscribed!!💜💜💜
@youngnailsincАй бұрын
We can't speak for the specific GelX products, but if you are using the YN full cover tips, you can adhere them with the sticky tabs for a temporary application. Simply buff the nails with a 180-240 grit buffer, dust off and cleanse with Swipe and apply the tabs and full cover/press on tips. Keep in mind that the tabs will take up space, so you may need to go a size bigger with the tip.

Can you use pre painted gel nails, or regular polish nails, with the fiber gel method
@youngnailsinc6 ай бұрын
When you pre-design the nails, you need to make sure you are using colors/glitters that are somewhat translucent to let the light through. If you are uncertain if they are translucent enough, you can always mix an iridescent glitter to break up the color. This will allow the light through without changing the color.

What does one charge for the different applications? Thanks for the tips on this.😊
@youngnailsinc7 ай бұрын
In determining your pricing, you want to take into consideration the time and product you are using and you want to charge accordingly so you are still making the same "per hour" for any service. For example, if you charge $60 for a full set that takes you an hour, you could charge $30 for a press on application that takes you 30 minutes. You would start with those as your base price and then add on any additional charges for art, etc. For temporary sets, you could also include the cost for removal in the base price so the customer can come back to have them removed properly and safely.

What is the difference between mani Q cleanse and swipe? Can I just use swipe to clean up the sticky layer on my fiber gel?

My question is about the form of the nail … some of the natural nail the bed it’s flat and others are more curved and the nails don’t fall on the hole nail bed can you do a video on this matter 😊 thank you 🙏🏼
@youngnailsinc7 ай бұрын
Unfortunately tips of any kind are a "one size fits most" type of service. If the natural nail is flat, you may have to use a larger size so the curve of the tip fits the nail and file off the edges so it doesn't hang off the sides. However, some nails may not fit perfectly. For this, you may need to use the Fiber Gel to build up the flat nail or fill in the space so the curve of the tip fits to the nail with no gap.

@@youngnailsinc flat
@youngnailsinc6 ай бұрын
Since your nail is flat, you would want to use either more product or a thicker product (such as our Sculptor hard gels) to fill in that gap. If you use a gel, make sure to remove the shine from the well of the tip since gel won't adhere to the shiny surface and will pop off. You can also use a pearl of acrylic to apply it. Keep in mind, acrylic or soft gels (ManQ or Fiber Gel) will soak off, but Synergy hard gels will not, so this would have to be filed off.
