Great videos but just a few corrections. Granulomas are very specific and diagnostic for Crohns but are typically only found in 30% of cases. Additionally, UC affects mucosa only. It does not typically involve the submucosa

Why is colonoscopy used as a diagnostic test for Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s disease? I recall it is avoided due to a high risk of perforation due to inflammation of the colon.

Yes you can! Usually the fecal calprotectin is elevated during an active flare up not usually while in remission.
