This model has a charge port that requires a hot air heat source to remove. Let me know if you have any questions regarding this repair.

Well, it is absolutely helpful, but for guys without some equipment: u can solder without removing motherboard, just flux every point with solder and using copper wire and solder gun remove solder. Im not saying it to say this, I repaired charging port on my 3DS, and even replaced it with USB C

seems impossible to find charge port replacements. any ideas? tons of options for new 3ds but no 3ds(2011) or 3dsXL

You can use the new 3ds xl port, just carefully bend the solder pins up
