Probably because they were either part of the company, or owned the content being advertised (or paid Nintendo for advertisement). Alot of companies are against unpaid/unaffiliated advertisement since alot of problems can occur. For example, if there is something vulgar or vile on someone's island that happens to have advertisement like this, Karens might think it's APPLE that is endorsing or condoning that behavior, and then Nintendo will have an issue on their hands if Apple came to them for it. Instead of having issues like this occurring, Nintendo and other companies with just nip it at the bud before anything happens. So it sucks, but it makes sense.

No? They didn't 'catch' her at all. Her island was likely reported by someone for advertisement (which it is by the way, her dream address being removed is 100% justified) so Nintendo would have looked into it and removed it. To make matters worse for her, she uses a MODDED SWITCH which is a big no no and I'm surprised she hasn't faced consequences. What I'm saying is, it's more like a parent has a child that does something bad and then a year later they get told by someone that they found out their child did a bad thing then got them in trouble for it because it was against the law.

I have a theory that whoever reported it was doing so because of the flag not the Apple store build. As others mentioned, brands have created their own promotional islands without problems. I think someone retaliated over the BLM flag because people are awful and get really aggressive over things like that. They got mad, saw you had a build that COULD be a violation if you squint hard enough and reported the island. I had real life property vandalized because of BLM and Pride flags/signs. That’s why as soon as I saw the flag… well that’s my guess anyway. sorry it happened. No, it’s not fair. I’ve seen much more egregious promotion on islands before.

On my old island that I willingly deleted so I could restart, I used to have the Bisexual flag right outside my house. I had absolutely nothing else that would have been a violation, but after sharing my DA not too long I got a warning from nintendo that I was reported by someone. This happened to me! I uploaded my DA to my first island and then deleted the island hoping to have the DA as a memento to my first island. I woke up one day to the same email stating I had inappropriate content on my island that violated their tos. I was dumbfounded by this?! And I lost my first island forever 😭 apparently, they don’t look into these reports at all. I was devastated.

Technically, the software is still their property. Yes, you pay to use it, but you still have to follow their user agreement and community guidelines. Apple (a competing tech company) probably didn't make any money from this KZbinr's island, but I can see why they took it down.

The promotional content could be if you said ceo/ceomg when somebody tried to talk to you in the dream. That could technically be used as “promotional” because it is promoting your channel. Though I have seen many people do this. I do not believe it was fair that Nintendo deleted it and the person that reported you may have made a mistake too. This could mean that it was accidentally deleted. Not that far in the video yet so not 100 percent sure. oh, it was apple. I’m an Apple kind of person. On the Apple note though, I have had a LOT of things like that (Starbucks/autozone) and they don’t really care.

After going between apple and android a lot I can say I don’t really have a preference anymore. I think each has it’s strengths but it’s more about which ones you enjoy more. I used to love my Samsung s10 and would say it was better than any new iPhone and while I still believe it definitely has some great advantages (headphone jack anyone?) after that companies like Samsung showed me they’re just as anti consumer as apple by getting rid of headphone jacks to peddle their overpriced Bluetooth earbuds and making devices harder to repair (yes I am aware they’ve been doing that for a while now and it further proves this point). That's wild if the Apple logo got the DA deleted. There are citycores that people do with *multiple* real-life stores, like KFC, Dunkin', etc. It also counts as advertising/promotional content if you advertise your socials: your comment on your Passport that your character says to people during dreams is the big one. When people first got the ability to upload dreams, a TON of DAs started getting taken down right and left because they put their YT or Twitch links in that passport comment. That being said, people definitely hate-report perfectly good islands so that could have just as easily been it.

I lost my island to because I didn’t save it by clicking the minus and backing up my island so I didn’t get to save my island any time so I lost it all. Also my switch light got sent to repair but they couldn’t fix it because the memory was water, damaged and corrosion in the back light was out so I lost all my memory to all my games. Even animal crossing I lost my island good news. I am going to remake my island and restore it back to it once it was half of my people that are I am lawyers were Amiibo cards and half or not so I can’t get some of the people back. I’ll do anything to get my old island back even the the all the Islanders I won’t give up and if you lost your island and you want to remake it, you wouldn’t give up either, so I wish y’all good luck on fixing your island if you have lost it like I did sorry for typos😢😊😭 also, I know how you feel all that hard work gone but I believe I can get it back and that’s what I’m gonna do the people that try to fix my switch but they couldn’t are sending me a new one free back in the mail back to my home everything on the switches is brand new on on the cloud selling my games were save but not animal crossing New Horizon’s, so yeah if you’re like me what are you do hit the minus in your home screen on the button and then there’s a setting called back up your island do that and your island is safe I wish you good luck. I had my very first town on acnl dream address uploaded just in case I wanted to vist it again some day. After a year or two I put homebrew on my 3ds I decided I wanted to copy my old town and get it back. Typed the address in and it didn't work. This was like a year or two after I uploaded it to the dream address.

I used to be a die hard android lover until my daughter gave me an iPhone as a gift. Although it was a huge learning curve for me, I soon came to understand why Apple is such a huge success!!! Never have I had an android phone that was so easy to use and the switching between apps is so incredibly smooth and effortless it’s amazing!!! I could NEVER see myself going back to android now. My daughter has created another Apple lover!! I got her one of the 1st Apple phones for her 15th birthday and she has never wanted any other phones. IMO the title is clickbait because it has you assume that Nintendo deleted the current island off of the Switch and gotten rid of the save data
