You'll get the diy for that if you have a 5 star island and talk to Isabelle. Also: if you put golden roses together and water them, you can't get more. You always have to do it with black roses. :)

my sister is 8 and loved watching me play acnh so much when it first came out i bought her a switch lite (bc she's never had any video games ever and also i'm a broke 22 year old) and acnh and now i get to play w her over vc and this reminded me so so much of playing w her!! (my sister is also 8 and her island is just. amazing. she really just goes hard with whatever she feels like.)
