Pikmin 1+2 is getting a physical release in September (and 1+2 is what the physical version is called, much like the recent Advance Wars remake). I don't know why that information wasn't included in the Direct, but with how much I loved the contents of this Direct, I'm not going to deduct points for that since Nintendo did at least clarify on the same day that a physical release was coming. Also, I think you guys were talking when it was said, but that Penny's Big Breakaway 3D platformer was made by the team behind Sonic Mania.

About the remake of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, it is so, so crazy and exciting. It is an extreme dream come true. I will most likely get it when it releases. Sorry if anyone criticizes for mentioning this, but while I admit it is an extreme dream come true, it is sort of not the type of dream come true I thought about for such a long, long time. I have been wishing there were some or even many more Super Mario RPG games after the the first Super Mario RPG or something showing Mario and others reuniting and teaming up with Mallow and Geno again.

Great reaction but I disagree about Metroid. They aren't going to make the same mistake and it won't be shown until its ready. Nintendo won't force crunch and if you recall, that's why they bought Retro in the first place. They kicked out management because they were crunching the employees during MP1. It's ready when it's ready and you have to be patient. At this point I'd rather wait 1-2 years for the next switch because it will be better imo. Metroid is my fav series. Not really into Mario anymore but this direct got me hype for Mario again, which is wild. RPG was my childhood and 2D is exactly like you said. Grading is personal, but I try to take out my personal biases and I won't downgrade a direct just because Metroid isn't there. This was awesome with variety, and tons of Mario makes sense with the movie and theme park this year. 👍

I love that we're getting a new 2D mario game....and while the art style is nice with mario's facial expresions and all that...I still think it looks too similar to the "new super mario" series....which frankly I'm sick of. I just wish it looked MORE different than those games....that overly clean and shiny look....kinda plastic.... we need something more surprising....like yoshi's island on SNES....that pencil drawing artstyle is gorgeous. Still, looking forward to this......but nothing tops mario rpg remake.....GOD that's a day 1 for me

Sorry if anyone criticizes for thinking about this, but I really really really wish my imaginary 3D Mario game called Super Mario Majestia was no longer imaginary. Thinking about new things about Mario and other stuff like this also has me thinking about my game and its new characters. I have so, so many wishes. I am one the biggest fans after all. I will be glad to share my new Mario characters if anyone gladly and respectfully accepts.
