F-ZERO'S my #1 favorite racing series (We NEED a gx/ax remaster!), but what hurts worse is Ben's comment on "The 3 "Trace Memories" fans being excited!" I'm a huge fan of the point and click adventure games by CING, including the "Hotel Dusk" series and "Again," which also needs to return! I'm pretty sure the company went under, though. I wonder if the same creators are working on it?

Try a game called Fast RMX. It's the closest you'll get to F-Zero and it's actually really good and won't cost you $60.

Thousand-Year Door before 64 isn't weird at all. For one thing, it's not a remaster farmed out to some secondary team to do some minor touch ups and upscaling the resolution. It's a full on remake, redone by the original team, Intelligent Systems. I imagine they had to choose one of the two games… and they chose Thousand-Year Door. Also, the original's been available on NSO for nearly 3 years now. Thousand-Year Door was stuck on GameCube, never officially playable on anything but the original hardware. This really isn't all that controversial if you think about it for more than 5 seconds…

1st off let me say that Winter starts December 21st and ends in March 21st. So we're going to see games in that time window mainly. 2nd, I believe they will do a Switch 2 announcement at their new Museum since it supposedly opens in March 2024. It makes sense because they mentioned oh this is the area where we did the Switch Announcement. Kinda foreshadowing in away for them to bring that up. 3rd this direct was really good for fans of Nintendo but not just fans but long term fans like me who grew up in the SNES, N64, Gamecube era. So I'm very happy that we're getting Mario Wonder, Mario RPG, Pikmin 1+2 physical, Mario vs DK, Mario Thousand Year Door ect ect. Awesome direct.

If only F-Zero had 2 player when it launched on the SNES, it would get WAY more respect and love. One of my fave games from that generation still mind.

It was a technical limitation of the system. When they tried to make it two player they had to reduce the size of the course. But it was too small so the had to slow the cars down as well which ultimately led to Mario Kart.

@@pigs18 yes, of course, but then you see mode 7 in Mario Kart, and think why no sequel at least a year later with it implemented etc

@@usedfuzzbox I just answered that. You can't make two full sized F-Zero courses on the SNES which is what's required. And they couldn't scale down the courses without the cars flying off the tracks.

In "maybe" the final year of the switch we get.... Mario Wonder, Mario RPG, Mario vs DK, Peach, Paper Mario, and... Luigis Mansion. Cant wait for Switch 2 to launch with 3D Mario

Out of 5 Nintendo games slated for 2024, 4 are remakes/remasters(Mario vs DK, Luigi's Mansion 2, Another Code and Paper Mario) with Peach being the only exception. You don't need to be a fortune teller to understand the next system is around the corner.

Not really. This is every Direct. A bunch of overpriced ports (usually from the Wii U) and a Zelda or Mario game at the end.

We're definitely getting to the end of their generation 😅 I don't mind deep-cut remasters and re-releases though, better than leaving good games stuck in history.

It's amazing how low the bar is for nintendo, just resell the audience the same 6 games forever and their jaws will drop in awe

@@anonymoushuman8443 I've never been a nintendo gal but asking my boyfriend throughout the thing "is this a nintendo online game or full price" was ALWAYS met with "full price release" Could be wrong, I just have zero faith in nintendo, makes my 256gb 3Ds with every game from nes/snes/gb/n64/gbc/gba/ds/3DS on it feel a littttleee lesss guilty

Meh, pretty much what I expected. Some lame indie games, some overpriced ports/remasters and a Zelda or Mario game at the end. All will cost $60 and never go down in price. After the Switch I think I'm done with Nintendo. They're just too greedy and don't provide anything that I feel is worth $60 like Sony and XB do.
