F-Zero 99: Four years ago the members of GameXplain dreamed up a concept for F-Zero 99 as a fun “what if” discussion. Almost all of GameXplain moved over to a new channel called GVG where they occasionally still bring up F-Zero 99 as a fun idea. Recently, members of the GVG Patreon replied to Pyro with “F-Zero 99” and he liked the tweets. It would be wild if F-Zero 99 went from a fun meme to a real game!! (I still want a GX Remaster tho)

Any one thing from the following would be hype for me: -Prime 2 HD Remastered (perhaps Prime 3 as well) -Prime 4 gameplay/release date -Anything Zelda: WW/TP, new 2D entry, 2D or 3D remake, etc -New Donkey Kong (not Mario vs. DK) with the return of K. Rool & the Kremlings, preferably in a 3D setting similar to Mario Odyssey/Kirby and the Forgotten Land -F-Zero GX Remastered (although a 99 game would be fun) -2024 NSO Road Map (N64/GBA/GB): Smash 64, DK64, Banjo-Tooie, Diddy Kong Racing, Metroid Zero Mission, Pokemon Gen 1-3 (Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal/Ruby/Sapphire), Wario Land 4, etc. -New Star Fox -Sora Smash amiibo (Fighter Pass Volume 3 is pipe dream IMO)

Lol. Still hoping for Valkyria chronicles Nate? Lol. Just kidding. I can’t say for sure if it’s coming back or not after the last one. They could do a port or something of 2 or 3 or both. I think sega is focusing on other things rather then Valkyria but who knows. I agree that things are winding down for the switch. Not much, at least from 3rd party out there to port to switch. What I would like to see is either tales of arise, star ocean 6, granblue fantasy relink, and Nier replicant. Those besides Nier would be my out there wishes. 😂. Great show Nate!

I think that everyone claiming Metroid Prime 4 will be cross-gen is deluding themselves. Nintendo has only ever done this with Zelda games. This is for 2 reasons: 1) They announced the release for one console initially and want to push it to the next 2) The Zelda IP is big enough that the cost of splitting development across 2 platforms as well as producing physical copies for 2 platforms is negligible. The second point is what you need to look at when considering whether Metroid Prime 4 would realistically be worth it to Nintendo to make a cross-gen game. The Zelda series has made 8x the game sales that the Metroid series has, and the average mainline Zelda game makes more in sales than the best selling Metroid game of all time. Metroid, while a great series, is just not worth releasing on 2 platforms simultaneously.

I’ll help convince you otherwise on MP2. Nintendo needs to build hype for MP4. Dread did pretty well for Nintendo and helped put Samus on people’s radars. Then, a few months later, MP Remastered has gets released and subsequently, does even better. MP2 needs to keep the train rolling and shadow drops for this Direct. Give that a few months to do its thing. Then, for 2024’s fist Direct, shadow drop MP3. Around April, after they pass their financial fiscal year, THE BIG DIRECT. We see the “Switch 2” and are slapped in the face with MP4 running on it and it will be releasing along side of it. The Switch 2 is going to need a graphical showcase to wow believers and silence haters. It’s too perfect.

Long shot but do you know anything about NIS and XSEED in terms of the Trails series? XSEED holds english rights to those games they translated, and it'd be really nice if them and NIS could work out a deal to bring those to consoles. (many aren't because of this) The only other alternative is Falcom doing a remake, which seems highly unlikely as they are so busy with new titles constantly I doubt they'd ever have time for that. (new game = new rights = NIS having control over remake in english)

Metroid not being here wouldn't surprise me now at this rate honestly. I don't know why but Metroid in the last 6 years seems to only get revealed in afternoon/evening Directs only and with this one being a morning one I have a bad feeling like with Nate & MVG that it'll miss this one again. The Arkham Series, Batman Day is this Saturday the 16th. While a niche day for fans of the titular character it is the kind of synergy companies love [or neglect wholesale]. Forever has Front Mission 2 which is already scheduled for next month. They still need to announce dates for House of the Dead 2, Panzer Dragoon Zwei, and Night Slashers. Capcom has fans over a decade clamoring for ports of the original RE trilogy. They do seem to enjoy dropping collections. From Mega Man to Belt Action and Fighting Games. A 30-60 dollar SKU for 3-4 are seems smart. Dreamcast titles would be nice, considering the over a decade since XBLA ports. And more viable Saturn ports. I think the fact capcom forwent remaking Code Veronica would a port be insult to injury or enough to appease those fans?
