Another prediction for Capcom I don’t see a lot of people bringing up is a trailer for Ed in Street Fighter 6. This is primarily because his banner is already in the Steam database & can be viewed right now, so I’m not sure why Capcom would put that up so early if Ed wasn’t going to be shown off officially soon.

I definitely think Nintendo will announce something at the Game Awards, but it'll be something like a Metroid Prime 2 and 3 shadow drop or a Twilight Princess and Wind Waker announcement.

One other thing to put down Nintendo based announcements is that they could be saved for a Direct. At the bare minimum, i could see the full unveiling and dates of Splatoon 3's Frosty Fest Splatfest.

Honestly, I am just coming into The Game Awards with no expectations because with the exceptions of 2014 where they revealed first gameplay footage of Breath of the Wild on the WiiU, 2017 where they announced Bayonetta 3, and 2018 where Joker was revealed as the first character in the Fighter's Pass vol. 1 for Smash, all other announcements have been really small at best. But who knows, if somehow Metroid Prime 4 is shown, that would be awesome. Otherwise, I just have no expectations whatsoever.

Tears of the Kingdom was the Breath of the Wild DLC and they specifically claimed that Tears of the Kingdom won't be getting DLC (likely for this reason), so they could have been prototyping for a new game in 2021 since Tears of the Kingdom was completely done by March of 2022 and they just polished the game for a full year. Tears of the Kingdom was a DLC+ of Breath of the WIld so the development time might've been cut a little bit, but if you consider Botw to Tears of the Kingdom being a little longer than four years and the prototyping for the next game starting in 2021, perhaps the new Zelda game's earliest release date is late 2025. That'd be an insanely fast development of the next game from the prior one but still be realistic considering the factors. (2020 impacted Tears of the Kingdom development a little).

Nintendo has had DLC or a third Party published game every year during the Switch Era. So it’s odd when people say they don’t do anything. It’s never big, people see BOTW and Joker as big, but they were just DLC.

FF16 was a disappointment to me but I feel like it has a part to do with my playstyle and a part to do with the pacing issues. I feel like they could've had a lot stronger story had they not had villains post-empire. The empire was so interesting and evil and the characters after them felt tacked on, maybe like a DLC would feel if done poorly. I was fighting the last dominant (Odin) and stopped because the fights felt extra filler-esque and I didn't really feel a need to finish the story. They had such an epic ending when you fight behamut and I felt like the game could have ended there and it would have been ten times stronger, even with the pacing issues leading up to that conclusion.
