Nintendo DSi error when turning on camera

I ordered parts for repairing. I'll post the results here. According to ifixit it requires 43 steps in both ways to replace the camera. Does it make sense to do it - no? Would it be interesting to try - absolutely. This is my most commented video so I sort of own to the community to make something about it and not just leave you guys hanging.

I tried. Got the replacement camera and the tools. Got into the work and then broke the joints of power supply. I don't have soldering station to repair it and for this sole purpose I'll not get one. If you are interested - you can have the DS for free with the replacement camera and tools. Just let me know how to reach you. First come first served.

So I had the exact same issue, I opened the ds up and I found the cable that connects the camera to the main board completely oxidised. Cleaning it didn't work, I think it was too damaged. Replacing the cable (and I think the camera module with it since they are soldered together) should fix it but it seems very hard to do. Edit: since that might suffice to you, the procedure to try and clean that cable is very easy. Just look up a tutorial on how to open the back of the ds to access the motherboard, takes 1 minute and it's easy to do, then locate the big flex cable on the top left of the motherboard. There is black bar on top of it that keeps that cable connected, lift it with your fingernail, and then remove the cable. Check if it's rusty and look up somewhere a good way to clean rusty contacts (I think fine grained sand paper and some alcohol should do). Try to reconnect it and see if it works(beware of not putting the battery on reverse, you would fuck things up)

@@ernaldo1848 the Cable is ok no problem he came back to life. Like magic my DSi stopped giving this problem. Now I can finish the camera tutorial and put the Twilight Menu++ Exploit

I cleaned everything, even the cables. it was also turned off for months, so i don't really know how i solved it

@@Mick-kh7spso basically the Camara itself is broken, so you need to replace that part of the console.

Hey, I’m having the same issue but the cameras working fine for me. It’s when I go onto my card with games, the message comes up.. i noticed that this problems only occurred when I updated the Nintendo DSI store and connected to the wifi... which there was really no point as I found out the servers off now? Is there anyways to fix it?

ShutYoAsssUp that means you have to replace the WiFi board

Brayan Checo do I have to replace it with a new one for it to work or can I just leave it disconnected? Just asking because I’m struggling to find the screwdriver for it but I won’t bother if I have to replace it aha
