8:09 There's a reason for that probably. The reception for Pokemon Scarlet & Pokemon Violet. Due to the fact that people we're growing tired with how these Pokemon games visually looked rushed and often times sparring with a few bugs to keep up with a constant 3-year cycle to GameFreak in addition to doing secondary titles at the same time with what seemed to be a small team. So they've been hearing the feedback and potentially delayed them a year later to give the games a bit more time to develop within GameFreak now after the backlash on the quality.

Also, technically there was a "new" Pokemon game this year (a mobile game). The Pokemon TCG Pocket, which is just based on the card game and rulesets as opposed to the games themselves. But it's technically a new game albeit not a mainline entry on Switch.

Before having watched this vid, I theorized the 3 Nintendo IP I’m predicting to have some kind of comeback in 2025 are Star Fox, Rhythm Heaven, and Sin & Punishment. Based off just vague information and even vaguer gut feeling. Curious how accurate these guesses will end up.

Woo, another IP Watch. Delightful to see the more obscure IP of Endless Ocean get the spotlight with not just a new entry this year, but also getting the thumbnail credit. An who knows, maybe Steel Diver on the thumbnail will get another chance in the future. 0:24 - Okay, starting off by reminding me of that pain. Well, if Mario & Luigi can continue on despite no Alpha Dream then I can hope the same for Dillon's Rolling Western. Currently I'm assuming many of the Vanpool staff will have joined HAL, given they were serving as a support studio in the more recent years. 1:25 - From what I heard, the direction of this third Endless Ocean was more focused on online interactivity, so it didn't seem quite cup of tea. In learning about Luminous though, I heard that Endless Ocean 2 is more objective and story driven, so I look forward to one day playing that (it's in my Wii collection, so just a matter of time). 1:58 - Another Code Recollection I did pick up. Loved it, despite how it's not the sort of game I would usually enjoy. Here's hoping that Hotel Dusk and the conceptualised Another Code/Hotel Dusk 3 crossover could one day come to be. 3:02 - I think I would have spent more time with Steel Diver Sub Wars if it had released on the Wii U. Bigger screen, more comfortable controller, etc. An hey, I think it's another IP that could utilise the 99 format quite well, so here's hoping for a future for Steel Diver. 3:40 - Shame that, I enjoyed Fossil Fighters Frontiers... though apparent it's the black sheep of the series and I've never played the others. It satisfied my Pokémon alternative itch when I craved something to replace it (admittedly, so long as EXP Share exists, I still have that Pokémon shaped experience missing from my current gaming play time). 4:29 - Gosh, what a jump that would be. An here I was expecting them to remake Shin Onigashima or the third Famicom Detective Club game before thinking of the concept of a new Famicom Detective Club entry. Great to see it revived, though until they release a physical entry, I'll likely be passing them by. 5:22 - Much to my absolute delight. I wonder what the Thousand Year Door remake means for the future of Paper Mario. Would love a brand new turn based rpg experience. 6:52 - Thus making Echoes of Wisdom the 4th entry in the Zelda focused spin-off series... though would count Tetra Trackers as part of that? 9:41 - Oh yeah, there was that. I wonder if this test-run new game will be released this year. None of the rumours I've heard appeal to me (seems rather online focused) but still cool. 10:03 - Didn't that become a Labo game? On a side-note, I loved Star Fox Guard. Dillon's Rolling Western got me to really like tower defence and Star Fox Guard was more tower defence to enjoy. 11:18 - For a second I thought you were about to announce that you were reviving Arms yourself. A real, "I'll do it myself" moment. If the Switch successor continues the detachable joy-cons (which rumours seem to indicate yes), I could see them giving Arms another shot.

There should be no worry that the NSO playtest game won't become a full release. It's full of mechanics, has a placeholder microtransactions menu, and has 3 and a half hours of music, most of which feature gleeby alien synth voices through a radio system. They could easily release it as-is if they want to, but it could do with a few additions. Not even comparable to Project Giant Robot which was more of a tech demo.

Playtest user here, and after playing for more than I probably should of for this game I can confirm it will likely manifest as a real product. It has a fully fleshed out gameplay loop, itinerary of activities, there’s even a section that looks like it would be used for microtransactions. whether it’ll stick though…we’ll see when it gets fully unveiled lol
