I feel like Nintendo went all out with incredible games in the first couple of years of the Switch’s lifespan because they weren’t sure if it would be a success. But when it turned out to be extremely popular they started to pump out mediocre games, because they know people will buy them.

I dont feel this is a decline since great titles are still coming out, but they're kinda focusing less in the smaller ones- Like from every 3D Kirby, Pokemon Legends Arceus or Bowsers Fury, we get a Switch Sports, Mario Strikers or Mario Golf

While I wouldn't say they've been on the decline, I do agree with a lot that's said in this video. I'll always love nintendo and they'll always be my go to company for big adventures and fun games with friends but these past two years have just been a bunch of hits and misses and unfortunately, the misses are becoming way more noticeable then before. Its a shame that there really is no way for them to learn from this since their stuff always sells well but hey, I guess that's just business

i feel consoles in general are on a decline, turning them selves into streaming services with exclusive content, making PC's more intriguing for everyone. of all the tech stuff i purchased through out the last couple of years, the consoles are the ones i actually regret. I agree on most of the things said here, but as a pretty hardcore splatoon fan I feel like splatoon 3 has more than enough new content to keep veterans satisfied. - 2 new weapon classes - new maps - a new style of splatfests - new single player - plenty of new customization options - table turf battle - new specials etc.

My Switch OLED and 3DS XL are the only gaming devices to ever break on me and that's why I love Nintendo! You never know what crazy surprises they'll bring for me next! if you want to actually know why they dont ""just update splatoon 2" id recommend some of procharas videos on the meta history of splatoon 2 as well as his overview and reaction to the direct, splatoon 3 is really appealing to the competitive community, you do bring up good arguments though, there is still turf war, salmon run is back because surprisingly a lot of people just play splatoon for salmon run, and the campaign is back because they want to continue the story and try to make up for splatoon 2s campaign compared to splatoon 1. at the end of the day though im biased in favor of splatoon because of how much i like the franchise and you are entitled to your own opinions as well

I wish I could be hyped for splatoon 3, I really do because it was one of my favorite games from the Wii U, splatoon 2 didn’t bother me so much because the sameness made sense for new players coming in, I was hoping to get a new mode at least or something to really change up the core mechanics of the gameplay but instead it just seems like more of what we already have, I doesn’t seem like a bad game tho just one we’ve seen before time and time again

I mean if you are talking about new mechanics, I do see where you are coming from, but at least we got the squid roll and squid surge in that case which adds another movement element to the combat. Besides that, yeah that point is pretty true it is another game of the same matches and modes, maybe they will add a new mode later on like they did for clam blitz, chances of that are quite low though, I'm just happy to get to play what looks like the best product of the franchise in less than a month.

Odyssey and BotW, smash, they have great titles worth that much But they also make 1 2 Switch and sell it for 45 It’s impossible not to be annoyed when every single first party game no matter how old gets sold for $60 when some of them are worth $30 at most, Especially when you have the indie market dropping games at high quality for much cheaper. Hollow Knight is better than most first party switch games and it costs like 20 bucks. While some of their multiplayer games this year have been a bit disappointing, nintendo has personally been killing it on the single player side. Pokemon Legends Arceus, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes, and now Xenoblade 3. All of these have been great fun. And we still have Bayonetta 3 coming later. While i do hope some of their multiplayer titles stop the release now finish later approach, there have been plenty of games this year from them that i’ve been very happy with.

The only thing Nintendo surprised me was that they re-relased Japanese only game worldwide, that was "Live-A-eviL" (It's not Live-A-Live, it should be Live-A-Evil). And that's a 20 year old game which up until this day, recieved fan translation for the original cartridge version. Otherwise for me, nowadays Nintendo is just another gaming company like Ubisoft, EA, Sony/Playstation or Microsoft. It lost its "charm" back few years back before Switch released.

Too much grab money game who are release every years since they are very popular in Japan with too much Pokemon games, 5 Fire Emblem and 6 Kirby games and too much old Mario games from previous consoles port to the Switch instead be something new and good like Super Mario Odyssey, Luigi's Mansion 3 and Super Mario Bros Wonder so games port like Super Mario 3D All-Star for Super Mario 64, Sunshine and Galaxy sold for 60 dollars despite they wasn't remastered on Switch with new models and better texture in game (something similar to Super Render96 for Super Mario 64) and are between 1996 and 2007, Super Mario 3D World, Luigi's Mansion 2 HD, New Super Mario Bros U, Captain Toad and others are useless because what the point to buy twice the same game at the same price if you have already it on the previous console? Like say Shockwave: Illogical! And since 7 years, from the side of the game who isn't too much popular in Japan or aren't in the grab money category, the Switch isn't able to release a new game or remaster about Star Fox and Kid Icarus, even if we have just 2 Metroid games we still don't have any news about Metroid Prime 4 anymore despite it's been 6 years they announced it so we don't know what they have really planned for this game like a side gamemode about a Vs Online where we fight fight against other players like in Metroid Prime Hunters or a Online Co-op 2 Players for the story mode, Donkey Kong isn't able to have his own game exclusively on Switch who isn't a Tropical Freeze Wii U port or a GBA remake about Mario Vs Donkey Kong just like Mario Kart with the true fan who are very disappointed that Nintendo gonna just made a almost 10 years old ago Wii U Mario Kart game port on the Switch as the only new Mario Kart instead create a new one with a new mechanic like they did in previous Mario Kart: Wii for the bikes added, 3DS for glides in the airs, Wii U for defy the gravity and the Switch... Nothing except add more stuff in it just for the fan service but not really interesting for buy the game twice and for F-Zero we only get a F-Zero SNES Rom Hack on Switch with 99 players instead have something in 3D like a new game or remastered GCN game with HD model and textures in 3D while Pikmin just get one new game and, without surprise, 3 old game port. Nintendo never died with him and A lot of things have been debunked ever since the situation: - The Super Smash Bros Community has been awful in 2020 and is still awful ever since cuz they have terrible people behind the scenes that are liars and groomers, technicals made a video on the real reason why Nintendo doesn't support the Super Smash Bros community - The Joy-con Boyz situation was actually a scam this whole time and it really broke my heart after finding that information out myself - Pointcrow *monetized his mod* along with his KZbin video and Moon Channel explained a good situation about it. - Gary Bowser deserved the punishment because he did something extremely stupid and I find it a laughable embarrassment People are defending a criminal for doing something he shouldn't have done. - Yuzu monetized their emulator while the switch is still being sold to the public and had patches behind a paywall on patreon The problem is with the Nintendo negativity is it can be our faults as well, If you blame the company as a whole, you're dragging in Shigeru Miyamoto, Sakurai, Doug and The other developer leaders considering the fact they have absolutely nothing to do with the DMCA legal team in Japan that has been making those decisions. Lastly, I've seen casual/respectful Nintendo fans getting harassed and insulted by toxic PC pirates that Harass anyone for owning a switch and enjoying those games on switch hardware. Yeah, I'm aware that Nintendo has flaws and I will admit I don't like them, However By the end of the day it could be our faults as well. I am such a big splatoon fan and for the longest time, I just was not excited for splatoon 3 AT ALL. Like you said it just looked like the same exact game, not to mention the marketing for the game is terrible. Did you know that the game releases in less than a month? I didn’t until a few days ago. Recently there was a splatoon 3 direct though, and that got me a lot more excited for the game. But still, I already know that the game is gonna feel lacking at launch.

I can actually say that Nintendo have been declining ever since the switch released, period. In fact, I can say they are almost as bad off as Xbox/Microsoft now. The Nintendo Switch itself is not bad, but its games in my experience just fail to properly deliver. They don't have that magic they used to have, like they aren't putting love and effort into their games at all anymore and they feel so dull/shallow. I didn't care for Super Mario Odyssey and wasn't impressed how breath of the wild looked. I kind of stopped playing my Switch after 2022 and went back to their older stuff. I don't understand why everyone sees Nintendo as the savior of the gaming industry, they have all the same traits and current problems as Xbox and Playstation. Guess we can only rely on Indie games now lol.

Sequels generally take elements from their predecessors while adding new elements to make things fresh. Splatoon 3 technically does this, but his point is that it’s not enough to justify making an entire new game when all it had to be was DLC. He’s saying that if it HAS to be another game, there should just be a lot MORE new elements.

Its passable but not reliable in the long term. Strikers has lost a majority of its players and Splatoon 3 is just splatoon 2 which is just splatoon 1 with very little differences or if there are differences it is in the splatfests which are limited time things. @@ayasato9514 I played switch sports a lot for a review on my channel, and it was painful man, the content available at launch was laughably little, the fact that free updates are available so soon after launch in certain games that display this lack of content is suspicious. Yet the other Nintendo games that have plenty to do in them don’t get free updates often. Hmmmmm seems pretty obvious their finishing the game up to me.

@@AtomicToyRobot I don’t think it’s fair to just assume he’s parroting other people. This is a common complaint because it’s a REAL complaint. We all like Nintendo here, but it’s okay to be critical of them. Again, not every point in this video hits it home, but to discredit everything he says just because other people share similar thoughts isn’t fair. Either that, or he deeply offended you by insulting Nintendo, but I’d like to think that isn’t the case.
